Hogville is running on the new cluster. Having issues? READ THIS!

When the time is right, I'll get into details about our new cluster. I should note that we are only TESTING this configuration out for a week, at this point.

If you have any issues, and it's not listed below in the first post here, please post what the issue is. Get as detailed as you can get (links, accurate description, screenshots hosted remotely (for now)) and post below.

Before you post any issues, read this entire thread to see if your issue was already mentioned. If it was, don't post that issue again, please. I will update the list below of confirmed and resolved issues.

KNOWN ISSUES:

• FIXED - Uploading Attachments does not work right now.
• FIXED - Several Attachments and Avatars are missing. I will work to restore those.
• FIXED - Uploading Avatars may be skitchy at times.
• FIXED - Spell Check is missing
• Search is not working right now; working to get this resolved quickly.
• Site may be sluggish at times. I have not finished the database optimizations needed for Hogville, GH or Fearless.

If you notice anything beyond what's listed above, please post it.

SPECIAL NOTE: Several of you will notice that your unread threads date back to quite some time. This is the EASIEST thing to fix: Go to the main forums page, down towards the bottom, but above the stats center. Hit that "Mark as Read" link. This will reset everything for you. I had to purge out that table because it was insanely huge and would have added another 2 gigs of data and 3 hours of import/export time for the database.

SECONDARY NOTE: There may be a little funkiness with the servers, since we're still adding in additional webservers to this cluster. Please be patient and give it a couple minutes before you refresh. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the files to get replicated across all the servers.

When I click on "show new replies to your posts" it shows every topic that has one of my post that has been replied to.

I'm showing 43 pages of new replies dating back to 2009.

"Show New Replies to Your Posts" is displaying responses to every post I have ever made (about 45 pages worth). Having to delete each page one by one.

Edit-Deleted all page of replies. Seems to have worked. Will keep an eye on it.

Guys, I removed the chit chat from this thread. In order to get Hogville 100% sync'd up and working properly, I need to keep the chatter to a minimum.

I'm working on syncing up the attachments and avatar directories now.

Start > Run > type in "cmd" without quotes > type in "ipconfig /flushdns" without quotes > type in "exit" without quotes.  Close your browser, wait 5 seconds, open it, clear your cache and then try again.

I am getting the server errors from Cox using Safari also.

You guys need to post screenshots of those errors. I cannot do anything without having the exact error message in hand.

Do note that the cluster is receiving one additional web server and that services are being restarted to properly introduce that new server. Everything should settle down around 6 PM Central.

I had to do this twice, but it's working now, thanks. I saved the screenshot earlier, but I don't see any way to attach it. Basically it was a Cox redirect page that said they can't find the server at www.hogville.net.

Ditto for me, but I have TWC for internet, and I'm using a MAC, with Firefox, Safari, and Chrome.  Happens on all of them.

Something is screwed up.  In Firefox, http://www.hogville.net/yabbse/ takes you to the home page and not the forums. And it takes forever to load.

In Chrome, it functions ok but the screen to large.

'bout 9 out of 10 reloads of the site gives a Cox internet "Sorry, the website www.hogville.net cannot be found".  Pretty much unusable right now.

Able to use Firefox to get on HV for the time being.  Attachment still doesn't work. At least not for me.

As instructed, I cleared cache, logged off and restarted FF and HV. Same result.
