A few years ago we had a fantasy team advice thread going. I thought it might be fun to get another back up and going.

My first question is should I trade Allen Craig for Robinson Cano. I'd be getting Cano. It's a H2H league with R, H, HR, RBI, SB, AVG., K and TB as the categories.

Interested to see what people think.

I have also been offered Votto for Craig, but I was definitely leaning toward Cano over Votto in return for Craig.

And let me be clear, I'm fine with keeping Craig. I'm just trying to decide if it's a good deal or not.

I'm big on Craig. However, there are so many guys that can produce from the 1B and OF positions. It's hard to find production from a 2B position. Impossible to find Cano type production out of that position. I'd keep an eye on this biogenesis stuff though. Cano's name was rumored to be a part of that. If they are really planning on making the suspensions right after the All Star game like they've been saying this week then it may be worth waiting.

I'd keep Craig over Votto though. Craig's power numbers will go up in 2nd half of the season. He will continue to get a ton of RBI's too. If I'm not mistaking he is about 30 ahead of Votto in rbi's right now. Average will be similar between them. You can figure that Craig will have plenty of runners on in front of him for the rest of the season to drive in so I wouldn't expect any drop off.

The biogenesis stuff may well sink a ton of fantasy teams.

I'm not able to find any takers at all for Braun right now, not even at a slashed price.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Don't blame them. Looks like his days are severely numbered. I was pretty shocked when I heard they were moving towards suspensions so fast. I figured it would be the end of the year at the earliest.

On another note, ARod probably ished his pants when he heard the suspensions could be imposed as early as next week. Spoiled his plans of what I figure was coming back for a few games before retiring for medical reasons and getting all of his $114 mil.

Yeah, the deal with Braun is that once the suspensions are levied, he's going to appeal, as are most of the guys who are to be suspended. Going through all those appeals will likely take months. So, I'd be shocked if he didn't finish this season.

He might as well take his medicine. Baseball is trying to make him disappear. I'd knock out as much of that 100 games as I could right now if I were him. Then again, rumors are baseball wants Braun and ARod out for good.
