Will CBS - due to our crumbling program - help A&M replace us for the LSU T-day game?

There are alot of ramifications about our crumbling program.
Money and viewers rule the day.
A 4 or 5 win team doesn't carry any weight.

Buy a ticket, go to the game. Don't listen to Verne....

Of course they will.  Who wants to tune in day after Thanksgiving to just watch a mediocre at best team get thrashed by a perennial powerhouse, when aTm is rising?  The set-back we are being dealt now will be at least a two year (not counting this one) debacle unless the coach they bring in is both A) really good, as in "elite" and B) recruiting closer to bring the talent level up fast.

Maybe they will look at us again in two or three years.

And again, the JLS decision, for better or for worse, and not being able to even beat ULM?  Is costing the University and all of the merchants in the NWA area millions of dollars.  Although, we seem to have tons of national exposure now.....

Of course they will!!! But maybe this in Jeff Long's grand scheme cause he may have already sold us out anyway starting in 2014. Still haven't figured why the Aggies gave up on a home and home series they so desparately wanted 4 months earlier without a whimper. Now Long wouldn't have to come clean to the hog fans?? Just food for thought!!

The A&M-Arkansas series in Dallas was put on hold so the Aggies could schedule more home games at Kyle Feild due to OOC scheduling issues from joining the SEC.  As a result of taking a two year break, the series resumes and extends the life of that contract.

Long fired CBP.  He tried to find a temporary replacement coach crazy enough to take the job and he found one slap happy fellow.  Lame duck season now.  Long must now hire the right head coach.  He already hired Petrino and Anderson so I'm pretty sure he'll hire the right guy given that the hogs are supposedly ready to throw some $$$ to land somebody who can compete with Les and Nick.

First, one bad season with a half crazy coaching staff does not equal a crumbling program. With a decent hire we will be back to losing to Bama and LSU by only 20-30 points just like we were. Secondly, just because A and M has been declared to be "on the rise" does not make it so(How many times have we heard GA will win the NC "this year"?). They (aTm) have been declared "on the rise" with every new coach that has arrived in College Station in the last 25 years. The sun will rise in the East this morning and set in the West just as it has.

As for the move to replace us with aTm, that has nothing to do with our season this year and was likely already a done deal due to the perception of the network that they will get more eyes on TV's with the Houston market if they put aTm in the final game. It was dollar and cents and not the amusement level for Verne. There is no guarantee that Bama and LSu won't thrash aTm as well. Maybe not 52-0 because their coaches will actually coach, but 37-13 is not really much better.
Sittin in the morning sun, I'll be sittin here when evening comes.
