Everyone calling for Jeff Longs head needs to wake up. The nation views him with him with great respect. They see him firing Petrino with class and integrity. They saw a man upset and making a tough decision. Then they applauded him for making a smart (and probably the only) decision. They see JLS as the wrong coach for Arkansas. Those available head coaches want to come here partly because of Jeff Long. They don't want to come here because of the recruiting base or the fact we are Arkansas. I am not saying Long wont mess up this hire, but having him  makes this job more attractive.
