It is insane to see what Oakland is doing this season after trading away their 2 best starters and one of the better closers in the game.  They also lost their top 2 hitters from 2011 in terms of OPS to free agency (Willingham) and injury (Sisemore).  Without any real stars and a payroll that is 1/4 of the Yankees, they still have the same record.  Billy Beane should win Exec of the Year and Melvin should be a lock for Manager of the Year.  Heck, what I described only tips the iceberg of what the As have dealt with so far this season.

It's really incredible what they're doing.  In my opinion, they have made some GREAT trades in the last several years.

Never thought I would see the day when there was a chance the A's and Orioles would both make the playoffs. I hope it happens.
