Shaquery Wilson, a 3-star athlete from Miami, committed to UGA on Friday, per 247sports.com's Jake Rowe.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder was also strongly considering Miami and Louisville. Wilson can play safety, cornerback or wide receiver in college. He told 11Alive's Radi Nabulsi he will play DB at UGA.

Wilson is commitment No. 15 for UGA for 2015.

Jacob Eason is UGA's most celebrated QB recruit since Matt Stafford (USA's No. 6 prospect in 2006)

Ben Cleveland, a 5-star offensive tackle from Stephens County High School, and Jacob Eason, a 5-star quarterback from Lake Stevens, Wash., both pledged to UGA after competing together in the Dawg Night prospect camp on Friday.

Cleveland and Eason are both ranked among the nation's top 22 college football prospects for 2016, per the 247sports.com composite rankings. They are UGA's first two commitments for its 2016 class.

Recruiting is all about relationships, and the Georgia Bulldogs may have pulled a trump card to eventually flip a current Alabama Crimson Tide commit.

The Bulldogs received a commitment from tight end Joseph Ledbetter, according to The Macon Telegraph.

"I'll be at camp on Friday ... and I will be on a full scholarship," Ledbetter confirmed to Dawgs247.com.

Ledbetter, who played basketball for two years before deciding to transfer from Pfeiffer University, is the older brother of four-star recruit Jonathan Ledbetter.

Rivals.com ranks Johnathan Ledbetter as the third-best defensive end recruit in the nation. The defensive lineman committed to Alabama in January.

Despite his brother's decision, Jonathan Ledbetter isn't prepared to change his verbal commitment.

"It doesn't really affect me," Jonathan Ledbetter said. "I'm just glad he's in school and has the opportunity, but we aren't a package deal or anything."

There could be some family pressure for Jonathan to eventually join Joseph at UGA, though.

"I would love to have two Georgia Bulldogs as sons, or three – because I have a third son as well," the mother of Joseph and Jonathan Ledbetter, Teresa Belcher, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Former Parkview High School standout Chris Carson, who now plays at a Kansas junior college, committed to UGA on Sunday after taking an official visit with the Bulldogs over the weekend.

"Yes, I committed," Carson told the AJC. "Georgia felt like a family. And I love the competition."

Carson is ranked as a 3-star and the No. 66 overall prospect this year out of junior college.

Trent Thompson, the state's No. 1 overall football prospect, is taking the unusual route in announcing his college decision sooner than later.

The 5-star defensive tackle from Albany's Westover High School will reveal his choice around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

UGA has been the longtime frontrunner for Thompson, who also lists Alabama and Auburn in his top three.

He's also mentioned Florida State, Clemson and USC at times among his favorites.

"Georgia has been his leader since day one — he really feels comfortable on their campus," Westover coach Octavia Jones told the AJC.

Four-star offensive tackle Christian Pellage (Brooksville, Fla./Nature Coast) committed to South Carolina on Friday, giving the Gamecocks another piece to what looks to be shaping up to be a good offensive line haul.

Pellage joins four-star junior college tackle Paris Palmer, four-star Austin Clark and three-star center Jozie Milton in the class of big uglies for South Carolina.

Jayson Stanley, a 4-star wide receiver whose father played football for archrival Georgia Tech, committed to UGA over Auburn, Oregon and Clemson.

"I picked Georgia because it's where I felt most comfortable," Stanley told the AJC. "They want to use me as an outside receiver. They told me that I would have a pretty good shot at starting as a freshman."

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Stanley is UGA's fourth commitment at wide receiver in its 2015 class, led by 5-star Terry Godwin of Callaway High School.

UGA is expected to sign at last five wide receivers in this class, and the top target for the final spot may be Greater Atlanta Christian's Darius Slayton.

UGA's other WR commits for 2015 are Godwin, Michael Chigbu of New Orleans and Griffin High School's Christian Owens. (You could also count Gilbert Johnson, who signed with the Bulldogs this past year but failed to qualify; Johnson is attending Georgia Prep Sports Academy, and said he will enroll at UGA in January, providing he gets the necessary SAT score)

Even without Slayton (his decision is pending), this is the most talented group of wide receivers in one class that UGA has recruited in years.

And it couldn't come at a better time for UGA, which is desperate for an infusion of new talent by next season. Two out of the team's top three wide receivers (Christian Conley and Michael Bennett) are seniors, while Malcolm Mitchell could be a candidate to leave early for the NFL if he can stay healthy.

It's too early to judge UGA's class of WR signees from this past year, but the two previous classes (2012 and 2013) have been a disappointment so far...

Van Jefferson, 4-star wide receiver from Brentwood, Tenn., picked UGA over Ohio State and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-2, 172-pound Jefferson is commit No. 21 for UGA's 2015 class — and at least the fifth at the critical position of wide receiver.

Jefferson is the son of Shawn Jefferson, the former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver who played 12 seasons in the NFL. Jefferson was an assistant on last year's Tennessee Titans staff with UGA defensive line coach Tracy Rocker.

Madison Southern running back Damien Harris is expected to make another appearance in Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday. The nation's No. 1 running back has already come to town for two of UK's three home games. The only one he missed conflicted with his official visit to Ohio State.
