Fan Caleb Lloyd snags back-to-back home runs

Apparently the real estate mantra of "location, location, location" also holds true when attending a baseball game.

Caleb Lloyd was in the right place at the right time Monday night, [snagg]ing two Reds home-run balls — back-to-back jacks — in the fourth inning of Monday's game between Cincinnati and the Atlanta Braves.

Reds starting pitcher Mike Leake, shortstop Zack Cozart and center fielder Drew Stubbs — the Nos. 9, 1 and 2 batters in the Redlegs lineup — led off the fourth inning with back-to-back-to-back homers and Lloyd, who had never even caught a foul ball at a game, snagged the homers by Leake and Cozart in left-centerfield. According to the Elias Sports Bureau it's the first time a pitcher has sparked a back-to-back-to-back homer binge since Kerry Wood did so with the Chicago Cubs in 2003.


Lloyd failed to come up with the third home run from Stubbs.

Lloyd claimed he gave the ball back to Leake, his first MLB home run, and that he will serve as the Reds' honorary captain and submit the lineup card tonight with Dusty Baker.

Lloyd is the guy who looks like Keenan Thomspon.
