Question about Jeff Long

I understand that people have varied opinions of the AD and the manner in which he has conducted himself over the past weeks.  My question is this...Do you all really think that it was a one man decision to relieve Petrino of his duties as our head coach?  Do you really think that there was no consultation with donors, boosters, attorneys, pr firms, etc... ?  I see a lot of people that somehow think that he made the move to advance his own career which doesn't make any sense to me.
