Petrino and McGee have the same agent...

Both Petrino and McGee are represented by Patrick Strong and Russ Campbell, with Balch & Bingham out of Birmingham.  This is probably at least worth noting, as the most workable solutions to coaching vacancies often come from agents.

Since Strong just lost his biggest client's contract (BP), he will be under quite a bit of pressure to regain that income.  He will likely;   a) be negotiating for Garrick to get a good deal with the UofA to upgrade his UAB income,  b) trying to keep Mark Hudspeth's name in the mix (UofL coach, and another client of Strong's),  c) working on a very interesting Larry Fedora possibility - could double Fedora's pay (with a low 2.5 million buyout at UNC) and use the latest NCAA sanction surprise last month as a weak excuse for bailing on the Tarheels (very unlikely by the way).   

Strong also represents Sonny Dykes, and would likely try to get his name somewhere in the mix to at least negotiate a raise from LTech.
