which I hope to god doesnt happen, do we fire Heath and let Dan Hipsher be the interim head coach for the last 12 games?

We let him finish out the season.  Even with the frustration levels, the team has shown steady improvement.  He may just resign at the end of the season, who knows, just let the season play out, there are a few games to go still yet, a lot could happen still.

Heath needs to win 1 of the next 2 to stay alive.  He could possibly go if we lose tomorrow, but if we lose to Ole Miss at BWA it would be hard for him to keep his job.  If he survives the next 2, I think he is safe until the season is over. Once the season gets to Feb. we will wait it out.

I don't think Heath will be gone at the end of the year regardless of how the season ends.  I agree our program is definitely not where it should be and I don't think Heath is the one to get it where we want it.  I just think there is too much uncertainty in the rest of the athletic dept.  to be able to fire him this year.   :(

that picture of Heath at his press conference on this thread says it all.  Heath thinking: "I can't believe I am getting paid $800k per year.  If I can just ride this thing out for five years, I will be set."

I agree with the other poster. Why would you want Hipsher? First his motion offense has not worked, secondly if as some people say he is the one dictating who is on the floor then I sure don't want him.  My last comment is on Modica not been on the floor the last 10 minutes or so of the second half.  People say he wasn't setting screen and took a poor shot. I say no one was setting screens, which I have seen very few screens from players except for Hill. When was the last time Modica's replacement, Ferguson, set a screen? Then there was the so called lack of defense. I didn't see that, Ferguson didn't play good defense. No steals, did he get a rebound? Additionally, we have only one conference win. Who was the main player responsible for that win? Modica. Especially down the stretch. So, no I think Hipsher should be gone before Health, or at least at the same time.

I think one of two things happen tomorrow, siince the team has been held up in a hotel room since wed. nights OT loss.
They quit like they did last year--- OR----take out their frustrations on Auburn and win by 20.

could be the pivotal game this year, they have painted themselves into a corner.

I agree with Woo Pig Stewie...if Hogs win tomorrow all the neg. post will be done until our next lost!!  Yet if we loose...Stan will be updating his resume in a hurry.

If dissension sets in, ala Brewers disdain for Heaths timeout call at the end of the game, then it could begin the end for the team.  I could see the players figuring that they can't win because they are not properly coached.  I can see Heath and his staff thinking aloud that they cant win because the players don't properly execute.  Combine these two forces, and voila, you have a critical failure.

Lets hope this does not happen, but I am concerned it has already begun.

IMO.. if Heath doesn't make the NCAA Tourney then he will resign...He's a class guy..Not a great coach.. but a class guy nontheless

I think you're dreaming if you think a lot of these guys will throw the hoods & torches away after one win. It's apparent that BB is not really the issue with some of these doods.

Silvertip...all I meant by neg. was the word "negative" thats all, "negative comments" is what I meant.  My opinon is just this....coach Heath is a really good guy and a decent coach (although I beg to differ sometimes), I want the hogs to win just as much as he does and everyone else in our beautiful hog nation.  He may very well turn this season all around.  Yet, if the Hogs lose tommorrow I think it will probably be only a matter of time until JFB will put his feelers out for another head BB coach.  Just my 2 cents....thanks for responding Silv...hope this kind of made since.

I understand...you're right... they will keep badgering and badgering until something is done.  Razorback BB is the issue here and until the hogs are back in the "on the road" and the "winning at home consistently" winning column, those so called dudes will need to find something else to do....like working on offshore oil rigs for awhile.  HA!

Thats what its all about pigingulfport...keep it going...spread the love!!!!!...going to gulf port next June for vacation...I can't wait!!!

Hope we get it put back together pretty fast then.  Not sure it will be alot of fun here by June.  We do have a couple of Casinos up and running, but the place is still pretty much a disaster.
