Great article on the front of the Demo-Gaz sports page today about Chris Barnicle, one of the 6 super freshmen that John McDonnell brought in this year.  I think that the football and basketball teams and their coaches need to read the end of the article on p3:
JMac:"Anywhere you see a spare, and this Chris Barnicle has that streak in him.  I call it a mean streak.  He doesn't like to lose.  You can't give that to a person".
Chris:  "Arkansas was my first recruiting trip and, really, when I got on the plane back to Boston I knew I was probably going to come here.  I'd rather have someone make the best of me than try to just make me into an OK runner...I think it's great to have expectations.  I think expectations are what make people into great athletes".

If you are in Fayetteville, you can see Chris run his specialty, the 3000, tonight in the Arkansas Invitational at the Randal Tyson Indoor Track.

Congrats to the LadyBacks...3-0 in the SEC.
