The Motion Offense

I watched a High School Girls team run the Motion offense tonight. Boy were they fun to watch. Constant motion by all and non stop action...Sure didn't look like the same thing the Razorbacks run.

Not quite the same. I have noticed for years that women's college BB looks more like the men's game of the '60s & 70s. I actually enjoy it---more of a team game & less of the show-boating. More real BB skills involved. But it's a different game.

We run the "notion" offense.
If a player gets a notion to pass he does....if he gets a notion to shoot he does...if he gets a notion to not rebound he does....if Heath gets a notion to just insert a player to get a notion then he does.
Get it right..the "NOTION" offense!

Silvertip, You are probably right about the girls game vrs the boys game. The team I watched was little A class Kirby..I know most are not as crazy about BB as i am (Shoot, I go watch 6th graders play) but if you get a chance to see them play go watch..You talk about all out effort, they give it. They hit the court running and end the game running. Fun team to watch. By the way #1 ranked A class Kirby boys lost to Bradley.

The so called motion offense we have is pretty pathetic. It consists of Ronnie Brewer running back and forth along the baseline attempting to get open while our two post players set screens and the two guards stand out beyond the 3 point line and pass the ball back and forth to each other without ever even looking to pass inside or attempting to get dribble penetration against the defense. Hopefully McCurdy will bring a spark to the team.
