I hit the reply button at the bottom of the thread (not the quick reply text box).  Then below the text box I selected Attachments and Other Options.  The Choose File button gave me a dialog box to find the jpg file on my computer.  After selecting one, I click on "more attachments" to add another one.

Is this what you mean? Obviously you already know how to post pics - maybe you were curious about how to have more than one in a post?

oh... gotcha.

i use photobucket to host my pics. what got my attention was the line above them and then when quoted your post, the pics didnt re-appear. which make sense, it would slow down the sight if it duplicated each time someone quoted a picture.

you ought to look into a photobucket account, it has great mobile applications as well. and its free.

Gotya - yeah, I probably should.  I know about photobucket, but haven't set it up.

Gus - you probably said it in another post, but where are you based?

She's taking lessons.  The self serve gas pump was down yesterday, and no one was manning the service truck, so they filled up over at a nearby airport where they were shooting landings.  I usually fill it for her but she had the honors yesterday, but she doesn't mind getting her hands dirty.
She's got right at 10 hrs so far.  She got to fly 4 hours this weekend after about 45 days of not getting to fly at all.  Same plane my dad is flying in, same CFI my dad is using, so if the plane is down, or the CFI is out of pocket, or if the weather is bad,,, neither of them get to fly.  They both suffered through the same stretch of not getting to fly.
She needs to take a few days off and fly for 3 days in a row.  I feel like she will solo in the next 2 or 3 days she gets to fly.

my dad always talks about people getting their airplanes washed in somewhere around Houston, not sure what airport, but apparently there are bikini's involved.

Avionics shop I went to yesterday was located at KBKD.  Coincidentally the day before (Wed) was the day that a fella by the last name of Pardue (sp???) went down just a couple of miles from this airport in a Bearcat war bird, just after takeoff, and as you may well know by now, it was fatal.  Cause has not yet been determined.  May he rest in peace.  He was a well known veteran pilot and Ezell Aircraft leased their big hangar from this guy.  The pictures I am posting are from that hangar mentioned where they restore war birds.  More pics to come, my limit was 4.

I'm not a war bird buff, so someone may be able to help let me and everyone else know what some of these planes are.

The first 2 are of the folding wing planes that you see on aircraft carriers.
2nd 2 are of a plane that I did not recognize at all, no wings on it at the time.

The blue plane is a rare prototype that they only made about 14 of and there are only about 3 or 4 flying today.

Again, I don't know what the 3rd one is at all, but the 4th is a P-51 Mustang.

More to come.

Another pic of the P-51 and the C-310 is for Gotya.  Seems like that's what he wants to graduate into after the C-182.  Guy that was flying it was another customer of the avionics shop yesterday.

All of these were taken with my blackberry phone.  Cloesups aren't bad, but the aerials aren't that great.

The other 2 are of Lake Possum Kingdom.  First one of the aerial you can see the fish hatchery that is just below Lake PK dam where the mighty Brazos comes out, also can see part of "The Cliffs" golf course.  You can see where some of the fires were last year.

2nd aeral is of Possum Kingdom Airport (F35).

Had my fini flight in the T-1 this past Monday.  I'm packed up and heading to Little Rock in the morning.  My school house for the C-130J starts in a little over a month, I can't wait.  I'm really going to miss my time in this jet though.

The wife didn't get pictures of me coming up initial with the T-38s and T-6s in the patterns on either side.  It was pretty sweet though.

No it wasn't.  That was an AMC C-21, I don't know where from though.  I'm here in Little Rock now waiting for my class to start for the J model.  I did fly my T-1 in to Drake before though and it was a blast.  I would have done it more often if it weren't for the required climb out factor out of there and the short runway.

I'm getting more and more excited every day.  My class doesn't start for a few weeks still because I've had to in process the base, find a new place to live, unpack, and so on.  However, I got real pumped up talking to my squadron commander the other day about putting it to use in Afghanistan.  That plane is special and flying it is going to be sweet.

Maybe we can make it happen although it is tough to get a good weekend for everyone. Maybe one of the razorback games.

I don't know if you could necessarily classify these as "cool", but I did some flying in Eastern Arkansas, and the Mississippi River was ridiculously flooded.

Nice ones Reddie.  I've got some from that time frame too.  These are around Tunica and Memphis, and one of them is my home strip in Hernando.  Water got close, but never covered the runway.

Wow - very cool!  I grew up just outside of England, AR, surrounded by farms.  I loved to watch guys spraying.  It was pretty much all AgCats and piston Thrushes when I was a kid.  The Stearmans were just a little before my time.  Great pictures!

I assure you these are cool to more than just you. Thanks for posting. These guys work.  When conditions get right after being wrong for a stretch, they have to go all day, land long enough to re load, re fuel, and pee. I'm sure that it is fun for awhile and a pilot can certainly hone their skills, but not as glamorous as the outsider looking in would think. I admire the spray pilots. There is a business here that re builds spray planes. Amazes me how they never seem to lack for wrecked AgCats, which are built about an hour from here.

Funny little side story of our trip to SRR this wknd.  Friend was to pick us up at SRR, and loan us his jeep to run around in while we were there.
I had already reported in-bound 10 miles out, then right after reporting in-bound 5 miles out, SRR Unicom came on the radio and asked "Skylane 88 Romeo, does your transportation happen to be a Red Peterbuilt?"  We laughed and I answered "that's affirmative" as our friend pulls his travel trailer with a red Peterbuilt truck.
Ground crew said that was a first ever for them when he pulled out on the ramp to pick us up.  Then when we were leaving, the pilot of a Cessna Citation walked over to the driver side window and asks "Where can I get one of those?".  Pretty funny that the truck was the envy of a guy flying a Citation Jet.
Too funny not to share.  I wish I would've taken a picture of his truck next to my plane on the ramp.  But I did get this pic of my wife and the truck.

when i landed in Tunica Monday there were 4 Apaches sitting on the ramp. my ride was running a few minutes late and i walked up the the crews flying these and got a great walk around tour, he even offered to let me sit in the cockpit... i declined, bc i didn't want to move his seat around and get it all disheveled.

couple interesting facts he told me about it...

-basically they have redundant everything.
-he said there was only one spot on the entire aircraft that cant take one rilfe round that could put it down - the pilots head.
-its got almost 1000lbs of computers - nav/comms/weapons systems/etc.

its an amazing aircraft to be up close to... 100% designed for battle. really sweet.

on a much less stimulating level, this is the white river.
