My season went from what should've have been an 80 unit winner or more to exactly 30 units in a couple of horrible final weeks.  The losses I took were brutal to say the least.

For those of you who aren't aware, you should check out the bitcoin books.
They usually have some of the lowest lines and you can withdrawal your bitcoins back to your wallet after your win, so you don't need to keep any funds in the books.  Also there is at least 1 matching book, that has zero juice, but they do take 1% from a win.  Example: Side A, -110. Side B, +110 - Example 2: Side A, -156, Side B, +156, and this would be at the matching bitcoin book.

Just food for thought for those that play online.  For the Auburn game +11 even was available at the matching service. The line updates along with the matches from the lenders/players, but it's not like matchbook, where they lenders/players can set their own line.  It's still small, but for big events you can usually find 15 BTCs, which at their current value is around $12.5k.

Food for thought... Bitcoin is the next big thing. Overstock.com started taking it yesterday. Porn.com takes it, Zynga just started taking it, and there are around 14k merchants who accept it through BitPay.com - Coinbase.com is another merchant that allows you to both buy and sell bitcoins and they also are the merchant for Overstock.com - Rumor has it that Netflix will soon take it, and supposedly both Ebay and Paypal are looking into it.

Oh ya, one more thing, this bitcoin books do not take your information, unless they are giving out bonuses, and they use it to stop repeated bonus abusers. As with anything else, these are new start-ups, so be careful. I have used just two bitcoin books, and have no issue depositing or withdrawing bitcoins.

Here  are some links to realtime market prices: http://bitcoinwisdom.com/ and https://bitcoinity.org/markets
Some list prices such such as $935 US/BTC and others list them at $.935 US/mBTC, which is the same thing.

I'll be happy to answer any questions in case you are interested.

Do you work for them?

Work for who? Did I name any bitcoin book? I work for myself and it's not in any capacity related to sportsbooks or bitcoins.

I'm not sure if you were trying to insinuate something, but if you were, this is why I usually don't waste my time posting information like this, because I spend my time giving out information to help and the only thing I get is someone asking a question like this.

If you don't know what Bitcoin is, then I suggest you read up, but no I don't work for them and I have only placed a few wagers with bitcoin through these new outlets. The post was information and for you to decide what to do. It's going to change the way business is done, so do your own research, or continue doing as you are, it doesn't bother me.

Please keep us posted on your bitcoin experiences.  I haven't taken the plunge yet, but did some preliminary searching on it.  It seems to be getting more difficult to make deposits and withdrawals with online books, which is making bitcoin look like a more attractive option.  Thanks for the report.

I didn't see anything I liked over the weekend in football.  My lean was Pats and the Over in that same game, but couldn't pull the trigger. Shame would have nailed both.

I don't watch much Arkansas hoops, but from the few games I have seen they look about like they have the last few years to me.  Too many "athletes" not enough "basketball players".  That's just my opinion, but I will take Kentucky plus the point big tonight.  Maybe the Hogs will prove me wrong.

Basically you spend another $50 (-105) or $100 (-110) bux to have a point to play with. The winning amount would be the same, the only thing that changes is the amount you risk.

ML for UK is +105 and odds of +1 1/2 for -110.  If you feel they will win outright the ML will be the way to go.

More plays for tonight!!

WISCONSIN - 4   1 unit

Kings +11    1 unit

Remember never leave 1/2 pts.. Always buy in your favor

Np,

I just like the idea, of whichever bitcoin book you choose, I only have 1 favorite, just because it gives the best lines and an exchange because it gives even better lines, that I can get my winnings back immediately.  You could even use it to try and lose your money at a book and win it a bitcoin book to cash out immediately.

It's new technology which I try to keep up with things like this, but you are only going to see it grow, so I'd look into it. One more thing, NEVER use an ONLINE wallet, at least night for now. If they lose your bitcoins there is a 99.8% chance they will reimburse you. Keep your main wallet offline and there are wallets where you can sign transactions offline, then move them over, with a flashdrive, and then post the transaction id to the blockchain.  Just don't keep say 20 bitcoins on your computer, because if you get hacked, they might be gone... It's happened too may times.  I have a few bitcoins and litecoins, and keep them safe from the open internet unless I'm doing a transaction.

The main thing this does, is allow you to immediately get your bitcoins back into your possession, and not have a book go under, slow pay you, make you pay fees etc, which is the whole point of the game, plus you have another outlet to look into.

Example lines from some bitcoin books for tonight's Arkansas game.
 Arkansas -1.5 even / -2 (-102) & Kentucky +1.5 even / +1 (+103)
 Kentucky ML +118

Ya, I've lived out of state for a number of years no, so I only seem to watch the big games, like the other night's game against FL. You are right, it's the same team and more bad coaching.
Arkansas was up by 2 and you pass the inbound pass off a time-out to a 62% free-throw shooter?
Of course he missed the 1-and-1 and the game ended up going into overtime and we lose for the first time in forever at home, but we didn't play Kentucky at home last year either.
Good teams have set plays to get the ball to their best free-throw shooter, and also, we could have called a time-out.
Same ole same ole is exactly right. The early to mid 90s where athletes mattered is gone, you need game managers, guys who can rebound and sound coaching, which I'm not sure we have any of at this time or have had for almost 20 years, which is sad.

A note on that Hog total last night though: It went from 157 at the open, down to 150, back to 154. As someone who followed totals very closely last season (new rules keeping me away this season), that's remarkable movement.

Had St. Joseph's last night at -10 (got a crappy line).  They were up by 32 at half and only won by 9!  They were up 20 with 1:30 left.  Duquesne went on a 25-2 run against the St. Joseph's scrubs in the last couple of minutes to stay within the number.  That might be the worst beat of my life.  And I've had some very, very bad beats.

Scoring went like this:
                      1st       2nd
Duquesne          20        55
St. Joseph's       52        32

Juuuuuuuuuuuust enough for me to lose.  Unbelievable....

Tough one, HF. Funny, crazy, frustrating....tough loss. Almost have to just laugh about it.
