Talked to Joe's daughter a couple days ago.  After six months of intense chemo in Houston, Joe's tests are all negative for cancer. The family is going to be home for Christmas and thanks everyone for their prayers. Please continue to think of Joe and his family and pray for them.  Thanks.
Did you hear about the dyslexic agnostic with insomnia? He laid awake all night wondering if there really was a dog.

Now that is a great post! Thanks!

I definitely will--thanks for the update...

Amazing.

Good to see great things happen to a good guy like Joe.  A true example that prayers are answered.

Hope Joe keeps up the good fight; definitely will keep him in my prayers.

Awesome - thanks for keeping us all updated - wish the papers/TV would do more to let everyone know.

Bacon out...

In any fight, life or football, its the guy who is willing to die who will win that inch. If I'm gonna have any life anymore its because I'm still willing to fight and die for that inch....because, that's what living is!

Since 1894

The first thing I heard today was that he grew up on a pig farm. That's quite a start in my book. And my last memory was watching him hang 70 on Nebraska. Just those two facts are enough (for me to like him). Then, I hear that he's out of the Hayden Fry-Bill Snyder-Barry Alvarez coaching tree. Oh, that's enough for me to like a lot. Then, I hear he's got a 27-year-old wife. Okay, we can stop. I like him.

Here is Joe's latest message on the "Bills board"  Thought you would enjoy his message.

Update: 12/15/05 WE ARE BLESSED!

I have finally finished with the Chemotherapy treatments.  At the last recheck at the doctor's office, they removed my CVC line, took me off all the medications and told us not to come back for 3 months!  Praise God!

I am beginning to gain some weight back and have even seen a little bit of hair growth.  I get sick and tired of being sick and tired but I am still working on patience.

There have been times when we are so overwhelmed or just too tired to pray for ourselves, but we were reminded and strengthened by your continued prayers and energized by your emails.

Everywhere we look, there is someone who needs prayer, encouragement, or physical/material health.  I pray we will continue to pass on what you have given us.  I thank God for His healing and pray that we will use it to help others.

While there is life, there is hope; never give up!  Through any situation, you have a choice to be the victim or the victor; be the victor!

    With love, Joe and Family

Great news. Hopefully, the cancer will not come back.

Great to hear good news about Joe.   He was the QB of the teams I first remember.  I wish he was still the QB coach.
