Coaches, programs and recruiting a top qb

is usually gutwrenching.  One need look no farther back than last year.  Perilloux, top QB in LA HS and in the country was committed to TX right up to signing day.  Then he says he is going to LSU because he does not want to sit behind VInce Young.  Instead he is sitting behind Russell, and was never considered to take the RS off all year. 

THe top QB is very different from the top Ol or LB.  While everyone would like to have the OL or LB everyone WANTS the top QB.  Most times he is THE TOP recruti of every school he considers.  What is the final deciding factor for the QB?  Who knows.  Why did Periloloux switch to LSU at the end?  Did he really think he would be the starter this year?  Maybe. 

Regardless, it is always gutwrenching for the fans.
