Out 4-6 weeks with a stress reaction

Scott was one of our few guys who'd shown any proclivity for making his own shot, beyond simply taking it to the rim.    This is going to hurt this team a lot.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Actually...that is what happened... a break.
I said...LSU has often been an overrated team.

That ignoramus Draconian Sanctions said..if we're overrated, why are we ranked higher than you are?

booogaga

pelphrey said during the coach interview after the game that a stress reaction was as close as you can get to having a fracture without having a fracture. and the recovery time is about a week or two less than that of a fracture.
GO HOGS!

I had to look up proclivity....first time I had seen its usage in this particular context.  Usually it has to do with something bad... i.e. his proclivity for throwing interceptions.

This is what I got:

pro·cliv·i·ty
Pronounced:
/proʊˈklɪvəti/
Function:
noun
Inflected forms:
plural pro·cliv·i·ties
Meaning:
[count] formal : a strong natural liking for something that is usually bad : a tendency to do something that is usually bad —usually singular

I'm trying to figure out why you would say that making his own shot is a bad thing?  Perhaps your usage of the word proclivity is incorrect?

Should we just open an Arkansas Razorback Basketball Hospital?  I'm pretty sure we could fill it up at this rate.  Poor Sanchez would have a reserved room.

Pel would have his own room with nice padded walls.

I'll make a prediction: If BCG were to get the Tennessee job, Calipari will be fired from UK within 2 years because from the 2013-2014 season on, Tennessee will own the SEC East until BCG moves on or retires.

Bad hit to the team. Hopefully Marcus Britt picks it up with consistent playing time.

Until he starts knocking them down as a mid-range shooter, it was as labeled.  It helps the team in that it does play to the better kinds of offensive finishers at the glass that we do have, rather than 16 foot boards which our guards can't rebound; it keeps 3s honest and out of rebounding position, in that they aren't able to crash the boards.  That's a very limited benefit, but for a team that's this bereft of offense, it's a tiny something.

I love that he can create his own shot;  I loathe that they don't fall.    Hopefully it will come with maturity and minutes, but his injury will hamper the later, but hopefully he gets some of the former, given his spotty playing time so far-- we can't afford to have him sulk while injured.

you're rolling on the floor but not laughing? Seizure? Brain aneurysm? I know paying attention to the basketball program feels like its damaging to my health sometimes.

On a scale of 1-10, what is your favorite Jonas Brother's favorite movie?

My cousin used to be obsessed with the Jonas Brothers. I had more fun listening to her talk about them than I do watching a John Pelphrey coached offense.

Ah I see.  I didn't realize that he creates his own shot and then fails to connect.  I have not been able to see any of the games and I have no idea what the individual player's skill sets look like.  All I get from this forum is that some folks like Pel as the coach but many in here don't like him very much and often succeed in derailing any threads that might be productive or insightful.

Thanks for clearing that up for me...seems like this isn't a very big loss of a player then.  I still hope he has a speedy recovery though....depth is depth.

It's a mixed bag, really;  what does one properly call it when a player does something poorly, but it leads to some other players playing slightly better, and a net 3-6 points a game of improved scoring?   It's not been an accident that Arkansas' most efficient offensive rebounding has been when Bryant and Scott are both on the floor at the same time, Scott drawing a rebounder out and putting the ball softly on the rim and around it to be cleaned up.

This injury must be Pelfrey's fault somehow.  Care to enlighten us, Boot?

he didn't teach the players to properly land on someones foot after coming down from a rebound attempt.
