I just the evening news and it was mentioned that Powell is already 133pts ahead of where Corliss was as a freshman. Noting he is the highest scoring forward as a freshman in the modern era of hogball. I thought that was pretty interesting not to mention there is at least 6 games to play.

So, he's basically the best freshman we've ever had.

That's awesome.

I can't remember to be totally honest. I am just going by what I saw on the razorback nation broadcast tonight and thought it was pretty interesting is all.

Don't be silly.  Don't you know that you have to have at least 1,000 posts before you can fully call someone out?  You have to have at least 500 before you can sorta call someone out.

Ya, because we all know the real fans are the ones with the highest post counts... And just for the record they are both correct.  Powell is currently 133 points ahead of Williamson's freshman season total, however Corliss did only play in 18 games his freshman year (Powell has played in 26).  This is nothing against Powell, it is obvious he is a special player.  But you called a poster out with 1 post, you have almost 2000, and you were wrong.  Guess post count doesn't matter after all

I was wrong about what?

Powell isn't 133 points ahead of Corlis?

He isn't the highest scoring frosh in the modern era of Hogball?

There aren't 6 games left to play?

Please, inform me of which is wrong...

Here is the stats for all of you guys who can't figure it out.
Corliss played 18, started 7, 25.2 mpg, fg 57.4%, ft 62.2%, Reb 5.1, and Pts 14.6, also got a block a game.
Marshawn has played 26, 31 mpg, fg 51.1%, ft 64.2%, Reb 6.7, and Pts 15.2, little more than block a game also.

So what we've learned is they are very similar as FR. Williamson was out a month after he started his first career game.

You did misspell his name...

And you actually never stated any of those facts... Obviously, I was saying your action for of coming after a new poster, who simply pointed out a correct fact, was wrong.  You are certainly wrong if you truly believe post count has any bearing on a fans level of knowledge.  I am willing to bet you probably did not know Corliss missed part of the season, and you did not bother to look it up.  He was not "calling out" the OP, I believe he was just pointing out the fact that this is a very skewed fact.

I guess I took it the wrong way then...

Cause on my end, I read it as if he was trying to go at Headhawg along the lines of "pretty sure Thurman lead that team in points" and took it as being rude, especially for a first post on the board to anyone, not just Headhawg.

But he has since said it was a serious question, so it happens.

LOL...what is ironic about the misunderstanding is ultimatehog and myself virtually agree on nothing but just last night I was telling him that every poster has a right to make points, I think it was in reference to sunshine pumper, and I take up for his right and everybodies right to do so, even him(ultimatehog) and it so happens that tonight he was doing the same for me. See....we can all get along at least better than repubs and dems anyways.

Pretty sure Corliss hurt his foot against Memphis St. and i think it was his first game and he missed several games early on vs. sisters of the poor. Didn't we beat Arizona with him out though, when Robert Sheppard had about 12 steals.

 having a great freshman
year but its kind of a silly stat since corliss missed several games

I think you're supposed to have 4000 posts before you can call everyone out.

Now before anyone gets bent out of shape, I have over 2000 posts so I am hereby allowed to call one person out, and at 3000 posts I earned the right to call up to 4 people out at one time. I can't wait until I reach 4000 posts, when I will reach Global Caller Outer status.

Oh, and thanks for the stats.

Isn't that the truth!?!? Jeez....we've got playmakers all over the starting lineup, and we've got the much improved depth we really need now coming next season. How in the world do Pel and Ostrom keep their jobs??!?

It's nice to see Marshawn off to a great start. Corliss got dem rings in college and pro, so Marshawn needs to stay focused and build off of his start rather than think it is the arrival.

Powell is good, no doubt, but he's also the only inside threat on this team. Put Corliss in this lineup and he scores 20+ ppg every night.

Put Corliss, Brewer, or Johnson with Fortson and they all score over 20 a night, easy.

Pel is terrible and just going to bring this Hog program to lower levels.  Didn't you know?  He doesn't know what he's doing and is way in over his head.  He had no part in recruiting two of the best player's we've had in the last decade and the best freshman to step on the floor in a long time for the Hogs.  I don't see how some of you guys keep letting him pump you full of stuff.  Jebus.   :puke:
