Sorry, haven't been online for a few days... Had a good "not great" crowd (125-150), but part of that was due to Coach Pel speaking at Pinnacle Hills Church luncheon in Rogers the same day.

Had Coach Pelphrey, Chuck Discus, Bev Lewis, Chris Wyrick (Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs) and Chuck Barrett in attendance representing the U of A Athletic Department.

Chuck D. acknowledged the contribution of the club and of all Razorback Clubs to the success of the Razorback Foundation. Chuck B. spoke a little about the Football team, their attitude and continued hard work, etc.

And Coach Pelphrey gave the key speech. Good article by Grant Hall in today's Morning News covers Coach Pelphrey's speech:

He sounded upbeat, yet acknowledged that we're a very young team. He commented on how much his family loved the area and the passion of the Razorback fans. And as Grant has in his article, the comment I liked the best coming from Coach Pel was "I would say that any coach who stays here 30 years or more would consider himself fortunate and blessed."

In addition to the Razorback Foundation donation, the club presented Coach Pel a $1,000.00 donation to Pel's Pals and he seemed "very touched".

As Chuck Barrett commented, "The Football and Basketball God's were smiling on us when we got Coach Petrino and Coach Pelphrey"!
