Originally took a salary cut so the Clippers could get Baron Davis and become a "contender".

Then Brand bolts off for Philly and a new 5 year deal.

Where is all the ESPN bashing on this one???

There's something about undersized PFs from Duke that screw their franchises in Free-Agency; see what Boozer did to the Cavaliers a few years ago for another great example.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Around the Horn let him have it. They called him out on it. The deal long term is only 100k more... Moving expenses are more than that for a super star... Loss on the house he is selling... so on....

"If I could rest anywhere, it would be in Arkansas, where the men are of the real half-horse, half-alligator breed such as grows nowhere else on the face of the universal earth."

It's not about the Xs and Os; it's about the Jimmys and the Joes.

I mean, if Bobby P. is a dog...what is Brand?

ESPN makes him seem like a class act.

Well it is a business.  Would you take less pay or move on to the job with the higher pay?  Remember the Cavs did not have the money to offer to Boozer so they were not even in the race to resign him.
A further point is "they chose" not to resign him.
Look in the heat of conversation I may have said things I don't believe to be true. "So you lied." Are you slow, the alleged lie you might have heard me saying allegedly moments ago that is a parasite that lives in my neck.

Untrue;  Boozer had a gentleman's agreement on a 6 year, $39 million dollar contract extension with Cleveland, with the Cavs not holding him to the last year of his rookie contract worth 700K.    When the Cavs voided that year, he jumped to he Jazz rather than honor that commitment.
