we need somebody to replace Payne.

Need all the size and skill we can find.

He committed to Texas Tech a few days ago.  So what's the deal?

Looks like a very, very good defensive on the ball defender.

I like this kid a lot and hope he signs.  While he may not shoot as well as Payne, he would definitely bring some good defense and a slashing presence at the 3 spot.

He's still open.

From what I have read, Tech has 16 guys committed and you can only have 13 players on scholarship so McDonald is looking around.

I have it on good authority that it's between us, Kansas State and Tech.

He held Daniel Payne to 0 and 1 point in the two games they played against each other...he is #20 on JUCOJunction's list

where does pel find these guys.  It's like they just come out of the woodwork.  If he can play aggressive D and occasionally slash to the basket, he might be a great fit for Pel's system.

Man we really need some lock down defenders; that is why I was excited about Payne.

I always thought Ervin would be that lock down defender, but never took on the challenge.

Would be great to have a guy that can play many positions.

The thing I like about coach Pel the most. Seems to have a back up plan for most anything.

That's where that Sun Belt predigree comes in handy. At mid-majors they are used to losing out in the end when Highers offer their prospects. Plus they have to look a lot of harder to find recruits.
