They are in the same situation as us last year, money to throw around, big names running away, others taking the opportunity to get big raises/extensions.  I am just hoping they get a name as small as Pelph's was last year, because then we have a better shot at Mr. Anderson.  Crean's been taken, Pitt's coach just got a raise, Calipari is using Memphis's non-BCS to his advantage, Self turned down his Alma Mater plus $$$, doesn't look good for them.  Does anyone have any idea what type of coach JA is looking for?  Is he looking for a big name or the type of XO's?

Kind of flies in the face of the " If you pay them, they will come crowd ".  I have no idea why they are going to go after now.  They, PUBLICLY, put all their eggs in the Self baskett, and now who knows.  My guess is either T Boone will pony up for another run at a bog name, or they will get some up and comer.

The schools are very similar; both are the 'other' traditional power in their basketball conference, and both have 6 Final Four Appearances;  Arkansas has a slight edge based on National Titles and a couple more  Elite Eight finishes.

almost exactly like our search last year aside from BCG playing us until he saw that UK was going to call him.

both ua and osu hired no name Kentucky boys who have a strong desire to succeed at their new places.

both have coaches that will play the exciting brand of basketball and learned from Billy D and Pitino.

Both will have big time success at their new schools.

Nolan cannot be a serious contender as long as he insists on Notes being the coach in waiting.

Very similar indeed. Almost identical searches and results. I think we should see a series develop between the two schools. Will be interesting to follow the results of both, and see which one Kentucky goes after if BCG fails.
