Their guards absolutely harrassed the Stanford guards into oblivion to open that game.  Stanford was lucky the final score wasn't much uglier.

Pat Summitt had better enjoy it while she can.  UConn has a class for the ages coming in, highlighted with the signing of Elena Delle Donne.  If she can stay away from injury, she will do things for the next three years that will make a permanent mark on the women's game.  She can flat out play.

The Lady Vols got a pretty good class as well. In fact they got a great girl out of Arkansas.

Stanford could not handle the speed and quickness of the Lady Vol's. They couldn't have handled LSU women, either. The game of the women's tournament was LSU/ Tennessee semi-final. As tough as it was to watch offensively (neither team could score) - the championship game showed you why. The SEC has GREAT defensive players.
