• Houston Nutt didn't start calling recruits as soon as some other coaches assuming new jobs, and consequently, Mississippi's class may suffer a few losses. Linebacker Marlon Walls of Olive Branch, Miss., has re-opened his recruitment. Junior college recruit Daniel Thomas recently said he remains committed to Ole Miss, but he will take a couple of official visits.
