De'Anthony Curtis talks about commitment to the Razorbacks

De'Anthony committed to the Razorbacks during a press conference at Camden Fairview's fieldhouse shortly after noon today. Here's what he had to say.


TRG: Why Arkansas?

De'Anthony: I've been up there and seen the campus and that's were I want to go.

TRG: When did you make your decision to be Razorback?

De'Anthony: About two weeks ago.

TRG: What's the most appealling thing about Arkansas?

De'Anthony: The running game.

TRG: What did Jim Youngblood say when you told him f your decision?

De'Anthony: He was real happy. He said he could sleep at night now.

TRG: When did you tell the coaches?

De'Anthony: I told to Coach Lee and Coach Nutt yesterday.

TRG: What did Coach Lee say about your role in the offense?

De'Anthony: They'll use me at tailback and put me all over the field.

TRG: Will you be working on Lavunce Askew?

De'Anthony: Yes sir. I'm going to try and get him.

TRG: What did he tell you about your decision?

De'Anthony: He said congratulations and good luck.

TRG: Is there anything you want to tell the Arkansas fans?

De'Anthony: (laughing) Here I come!!!


De'Anthony was a must get. His 4.41 speed and versatility out of the back field isn't something you see coming out of Arkansas everyday.

De'Anthony and Jim Youngblood are best of friends and represent Camden Fairview extremely well.

D-Mac and Felix will be going to the NFL after this season.  D-Mac is a top 3 to 5 pick and Felix will probably be late 1st round early 2nd round.  Curtis and Smith along with anyone else will need to step in early.
