Oh absolutely. Don't know who/what it will be, but it's prime real estate for sure.
No offense, but it lies in a flood plain believe it or not according to the EPA idiots.  Just ask Arvest why they moved

Although the original post was from January....
Thought I'd add a few that weren't mentioned...
Just a few suggestions....

Can't go wrong with Hugo's. But Smitty's Garage South of the NWA Mall makes a dang good burger, as does Angus Jack's in Springdale.
Italian-Mama Z's in Tontitown or Joe's Italian Grill on Wedington.
Real Chinese-China Cafe on Sunset in Springdale
Mexican-La Hacienda near the corner of Zion Rd & Crossover/Hwy 265
Fried Chicken-Monte Ne in Rogers

The Depot's food is legit. It's certainly not traditional, but they put together a lot of interesting stuff, imo.

It's ok, nothing outstanding, of course, just my thinking. I haven't eaten there on what I'd consider a normal day or weekend, so I haven't eliminated it permanently. My daughter likes it, so we usually go on Sunday mornings when I'm in town, and yes, I would be just as happy at Waffle House, haha.

To me, Deluxe has the best burgers in town as well as plenty of options. Plus if you go to the one on Dickson you will more than likely run into a coach of some sort there. A place they seem to enjoy as well. Being from Fayetteville...that's all I got

I've always thought Art's had the best burger in Fay. I stumbled in there around my junior year of college. Don't know how I hadn't found it earlier. It should be on everyone's top 10 list.

It's a combination of the burgers, don't like the fries, and bad service on only one of my 3 trips there.  The waitress couldn't be bothered while the frat boys were hitting on her.  She got no tip and an extra messy table.  I live close to there and they are always busy.  It's just a difference in taste I guess.

We really like Smitty's food, but their ordering system can be really annoying, especially if you want cocktails or beer with your meal. Usually , the food comes out before someone even comes over to check on adult beverage orders. I've started walking over to the bar and making those orders while the wife orders the food.

Yes there is. Been there three times before football games. I was in the restaurant business and am always willing to give a restaurant a second chance. First time  = really good food and service. Second time = wife's food came out cold and service not attentive. Second chance  = same as before except both our foods were cold, bland and poor service. Sorry not going back. The third trip we were the last customer to go in the place. However that is no excuse for the bad food and service. One of the first things I learned from the first company I worked for in restaurant management and was told by the owner was "the last customer of the day deserves just as good food and service as the first customer that day."

The divisiveness of the Depot is pretty funny. I think it falls along the lines of whether you want a light semi 'healthy" breakfast (kale and eggs or a quiche or crepes) or whether you want greasy spoon bounty.

I love both.

I really like the Depot for supper, though. Their poutine is the bomb.

If you're just wanting a burger, forget the $10 burger places and go to Whataburger. Seniors get their drink free and their burgers are good and bigger&cheaper than Sonic! Since we moved to Texas, we learned about them and hardly ever go for burgers anywhere else, with the exception being, when a friend recommends some place to try.   WPS    :razorback: :razorback: :razorback: :razorback: :razorback: :razorback:    GHG

So good and so cheap. Although if memory serves, you can actually smoke in there (it's been awhile). Hopefully that's changed. I didn't even like smokey bars when I was a smoker.

A lot of burger places that hand patty the meat also usually buy it frozen and thaw it before making the patties.

I don't think I'm that old, but damn, so much new stuff since I graduated in the mid 2000's. When I go back to Arkansas for football games I just settle into my old favorites.

That's more respectable than buying preformed patties.  I prefer my burger to be fresh, though.  That's why I like CJ's and the other Butcher boy burger places.  Ground in house.
