Ditto... I think they are all gone now except one in Denver maybe.

I also ate at Mexico Chiquita a lot back in the day. They are gone now also.

Isn't there still a Mexico Chiquita on Cantrell? My be I'm thinking of a different one. I swear I drove by it the other day though.

Awesome.... good to know. I hadn't been to LR in years till this past December. I drove by the location on Markham & Rodney Parham and the place was gone.

There's one of those up here in Fayetteville now LSU.

On another note, all of this RIP talk made me a little nostalgic. I went to Hugo's for a burger and fries today. Been open 39 years and the place was packed. The burger was even better than I remembered it being.

I liked Brenda's. Never was a fan of Mr. Burger, and that goes back to that original location next to the defunct Casa Taco (which for some reason I liked a lot).

When I was studying for the bar exam, I made it a point one week to eat at a local legendary burger joint for lunch every day.

I ended up eating at Feltner Bros, Hugos, Art's Place, Brenda's, and Mr. Burger.

Hands down...Brenda's was the best.

AQ Chicken House when the only one that existed was in Springdale (I think they raised & butchered their own chickens down the hill from the restaurant). The fries they used to serve there were unmatched.....

I know Hollywood takes a lot of liberties BUT in the movie Catch Me if You Can  Leonardo's character says he only studied for 2 weeks for the Bar exam.  I had a roommate who passed the Bar in California but he studied all the time I mean all the time for 4 months or more.  Veritas, is it possible that this guys claim (he claimed it in the book to) that he only studied 2 weeks and never picked up a law book before that possible?  Also, what is the deal about Bar exams in Louisiana??  I have heard horror stories about that.  Sorry to get off the subject

Art's Place doesn't get the burger credit it deserves, IMO. Great burgers there and Hugo's speaks for itself.

I studied for two months, between about eight hours a day on average. A day off for me was putting in four hours in the morning, and I maybe took two of those.

Taliano's is still open.  Bravo Italian did close after it moved to Garrison.  Though it was because the owner failed to pay taxes on that and the bar he owned across the street.

I'm really not sure why people discuss Feltners Whataburger in Russellville with the Texas fast food Whataburger chain.  They aren't connected in any way and if the food at the chain somehow reminds you of Feltners it's because the burgers are both round and on a bun.
