When did the parking go on sale?  It looks like all the Lot 4 parking is gone.
I bought mine for lot 10 about 6 weeks ago through ticketmaster.

First year I went I got the $85 tickets and ended up looking at the big screen most of the game. Ever since then I've went with the $125 and had much better seats. Had section 227 row 1 last year and this year 226 row 4. Can actually see everything happening on the field.

If you need a breakfast place before you head home, I suggest the English Muffin on 7 South. Their eggs Benedict is amazing. All their food is great though.

Wife and I are in KC this weekend, Kenny Chesney concert. We're looking for recommended restaurants, preferably something other than chain restaurants.

Can't go wrong with the original Arthur Bryant's if you want casual dining (Just know before you get to the front of the line, what you want!).

Piropos is a great place if you want upscale.

Port Fonda is nice but not too expensive and has excellent food!

Any Hog fans in the Atlanta, GA area?
« Reply #14811 on: August 03, 2015, 08:35:12 am »

I recently relocated to the Atlanta, GA area (Lawrenceville) and I would like to know if there are any hog fans here who get together to watch games.  If so, please let me know.  Thanks!

I've been trying to get together with several other ATLiens for watch parties several years. Gave up on that.

That being said, for the Arkansas / Mizzou game, we WILL have a "small" party at my place for this game. And it'll be a mixture of Hogs and Mizzou fans (well, there will be at least ONE Mizzou fan present... a good friend of mine, though). I'm about 40 minutes away from you (Stone Mountain / Indian Creek area)

You're probably closer to me than anyone else is. I'm less than 1 mile away from the Indian Creek MARTA station.

Tomas, you're on. Let's make this happen for this year's Mizzou game. :)

I have family in Marietta that go out and watch the Hogs and Falcons games with friends in downtown ATL whenever they get the chance. Will have to get with them and see if they have ran into any Razorback watch groups since they've lived there.

They do. Usually at Hurricane Bar and Grill in John's Creek. Just recently got off weekends. Might go see what's up.

I'm in Alpharetta and saw another car with hogs plates on the front bumper just the other day.  There's some famous chef that lives in Milton, north Alpharetta that's a hog fan too.

We used to get together at Scott Hastings sports bar in mid town around 20 years ago.  I don't think it's still there.

Never understood why we can't get hog fans together in metro Atlanta like we could in Dallas TX.  I know Dallas has more numbers but it seems like the dedication isn't there like Dallas.

Maybe it's time to change things.

I think I'll set this up for about 15-20 people to come over to my place the day after Thanksgiving... we'll get the fun started about 8 AM... if it's possible, I'll move the TV out to the garage (I might have to get a bigger TV... something tells me that 40" ain't gonna cut it with y'all. :D)

Grew up in Snellville and my dad lives in a Lawrenceville. Might be relocating back to Georgia in the Spring. Doug, never knew you lived in Georgia. My Dad was telling me tonight that the AJC never talks much about the Hogs. He says it's because of Petrino and the Falcons. He might be on to something.😊

Wife and I have stayed at the Embassy Suites DFW South, which is a straight shot up Highway 161 from the Stadium.  Technically, the address is 4650 West Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas, 75062.

Minimal drive, and gets you out of the stadium neighborhood.

There is a courtyard and a Marriot that are within a mile or so just to the north of the rangers Ball park. There is a Laquinta (Newer), sleep Inn, and a Hyatt within about 3 miles off Road to six flags that are pretty nice, these have a neat place to eat nearby called called humperdinks that is also like a microbrewery. If you want to have a guy's experience there is also a place called Redneck heaven close to these 3, decent food and beer with some nice scenery!

South Arlington off I-20 near the Parks mall and Arlington Highlands outdoor mall has the best location for shopping, eating, and entertainment. There are several newer chain hotels from Quality Inn to Coutyard in this area.

Our family is staying at Spring Hill Suites about a mile from the stadium.  I would suggest booking a hotel sooner than later especially if you want to be close to the stadium.

I live here (Frisco) and you're going to have a lot more options for better spots if you are willing to drive 20min from Dallas or Ft Worth. The wife and I usually use Priceline to "name our own price" when we head down to Dallas for an evening. We usually get The Sheraton (old Adams Mark) in downtown for about $80/night + tax + parking. But there are so many options, just depends on how long you want to drive. Dallas and downtown Ft Worth offer so many more things to do and places to eat than Arlington, it's worth the drive IMO. We have Uber as well if you want to use it to get to the game but the "surge" pricing afterwards can get really expensive on the way home.

Not sure, mostly just stayed at these places to be near work during snow and ice, and to meet with incoming business clients. Not sure what services they may offer for game days. I do know that public transportation is non-existent in Arlington. You can get within about 5 miles north of the stadium via the DART and TRE rails servicing Dallas to Ft. Worth.

Not close to stadium...

Check out the  La Quinta Inn & Suites DFW Airport West - Euless

Easy treck to stadium and good access to I-30, 183 and 121

Simply go down 157 to stadium ..
