Quote from: bphi11ips on Yesterday at 05:59:10 pmWere I Yuracheck, I'd consider where college football appears to be headed at the end of the season and factor in how the team performed without regard to wins and losses as long as it's at least 4 wins.

If college football appears to be heading towards a split in FBS plus completely new rules, e.g., a salary cap plus a CBA and/or Congressional intervention, but it looks to be a year away, I might keep Pittman until the changes are complete.  Then I'd push all my chips to the middle on a new coach who might best fit the new model.  Maybe that's even an NFL coach experienced with dealing with the professional mindset, which everyone acknowledges is different than the college mindset - or at least used to be.

It's not a bad idea, but it's easier said than done.

College ranks are rightfully about to have to decrease their coaching salaries to give room for the players.

How many NFL coordinators have HC'ing experience, or do we roll with another HC without experience?

Of those coordinators, how many are HC material?

Of those who are HC material, even a low ranking NFL job is likely better draw than even an Ohio State or USC job. So, which of those would drop a level to go down to college?

Of the NFL coordinators with HC experience, who have what it takes to be a HC moving forward, who are willing to go down to the college level, will choose the hogs over literally any other college program?

Not impossible, and like I said, I think it would be a good idea, it won't be easy.

Ohio State LHP Landon Beidelschies has entered the transfer portal. He's the No. 64-ranked college prospect for the 2025 Draft at @FSS_PLUS.

84.2 IP this springs with 91 K and just 31 BB. Up to 98, sits 92-94. Short gyro slider is nasty.

Benintendi is the only player I can remember that skipped Summer League ball / he decided to work on his body and get stronger over the summer. Worked out pretty well for him - won the Golden Spikes award the next year.

For a championship of regional game OU had an announced crowd of 3,480. 🤮
Wait until they get to Baton Rouge, Fayetteville and Starkville and see what a real crowd looks like.

UCONN had 8 hits or some such but pitched and played defense extremely well. That's not to mention how timely their hits were and how they made the Sooners pay for their screwups.

Started me thinking.... hmmm

Who had Evansville, UConn, West Virginia and Kansas State on their bingo cards?

Quote from: onebadrubi on Yesterday at 08:11:25 pmThe not well know part of this either is he's very active off the field with his players.  Well active might not be the right word, but connected and close.  More so than many even think or know.  He is truly a great counselor to young men.
I have heard him being compared to a AA minor league manager. He expects them to act professional and he will get them the instruction they need to improve their skills but he also gives them some life in the game instructions. He is very active with helping the ones that aren't going to make it to the pro levels with their lives after baseball ( jobs, interviews etc) because he takes care of those that take care of him. Ask Dom Fletcher the impact DVH had on his life from that aspect and it will blow your mind
