Direct TV SEC Alt CH

I just spent 30-minutes on the phone complaining to directv about the alternate channel never working in these situations. Every time they don't put a break between games this happens, but obviously this is the worst bc of the 4+ overtime game going between SC and Bama. Why is it only Directv that can't get this figured out?

They aren't interested in fixing it or they would.  They use the AT&T moto, call and threaten to leave or switch providers over it. You will be passed along to retention specialist that has all kinds of great discounts and BS to give you

Dish isn't any better. And they don't have the game on tonite either.

I was wondering the same thing. Any time I have tried an alternate channel it never works.

I have Dish and can't find it either. SEC network  finally did put the box in the upper right hand corner giving the Ark-Vandy score. How fortunate I am.

Thanks! I just did a lot of that last month about a different issue. She said they would escalate it. Lol took 2 people to realize there was no error on my screen. If this goes to a 5th overtime I'm gonna lose it. I know we are playing like trash but I'd still like to see what's happening.

I have DirecTV and have same problem all the time with SEC alternate.  I gave up and watched it on my laptop via watchespn.  Then after realizing how bad a game it was I switched back to watching the SC/Bama game on SEC network.  Great game.

Apparently directv is saving the SEC Alt channel for something really special. I've never seen anything on it.

Same here. When the game finally was on SECN the nice lady said it was not an issue any more. Never mind, goodbye.

I missed the whole first half, due to the SC/Bama game going to four OTs, but got the alternate in standard definition. Sucked!

Thank them...Fayetteville High would have put up a better effort in the first half. Sickening.

No problem on Cable One in Texarkana.  The alternate channel worked fine from the git go.

I've seen games on the SEC Alternate channel before, but they were originally scheduled there, always were football games. It's never shown a late game there though for basketball or any other late broadcast. It has to be something scheduled in advance for it to work.
