Ok? Point?

If you can't see what my point is, I can't explain it to you.

Think we should decide whether we want a coach or not on a play by play basis.

Hogarusa

I will have to check the Hogs coaching search points system but i believe a loss to a B1G team, that team being Rutgers, and scoring under 20 points eliminates you from the search.

Apparently you don't realize how bad Purdue has been for the last 10 years to understand how impressive Brohm has been

This.  When James Franklin lost at Vanderbilt, you still could say "Dang, how is he making that terrible program look so good?"  Ditto Brohm.

Actually 14-12 is two points.  Just saying . . .

I'm sure I know your point, but it is probably a crappy one.  So let's find out.

From 2012 thru 2016 - (4 seasons) - Purdue won a grand total of 9 games.

They played Louisville within a touchdown, lost to #7 Wisconsin by 8 and just lost to Rutgers by 2.
Brohm has been there a grand total of 10 months.

It's amazing how competitive he's made that team in less than a year.
They've won 3 games already this year and I bet there's another win or 2 for him before the season's over.

It's Brohm's first year at Purdue, a bad loss to Rutgers.

Even Saban had a bad loss to ULM his first year at Alabama.

I'm sure we will if the U of A hires a new coach.

I am not taking anything away from Brohm and what he has done for Purdue.  I just don't think he can do it here.  Just my thought.

And why is that?  If he is successful at Purdue who is a bottom feeder program then why do you think he can't do it here?

Because he is going to be in the same situation here that he is in Purdue.  Yes, he may be able to get the program turned around and headed in the right direction.  However, I don't think he can consistently win here.  Better than what we have now?  Without a doubt.  I also don't think we need to replace one Big 10 coach with another one.

I'm finished with this and don't want to get into a big discussion.  This is just my thoughts.  In the long run it doesn't matter, because my thoughts/opinions, like every one else's, is just that.  No one in position to actually change things read this board anyway.

and who coached that Razorback fiasco?

Brett Bielema.   Difference between the 2 is one will have built up a program and understand how to do it.  The other had a program handed to him and never had to build up one until he came to Arkansas.  Now we know Bielema can't build up a program.
