Yanetti takes a 2-2 pitch over the right field wall for the Hogs first HR of the year!!! 4-0 Hogs. Russell up, no outs. (Really good to see Yanetti start out that way, considering her hitting numbers nose-dived last year).

Russell K's looking for first out, top of the order coming up.

Canfield singles to P, runner on 1st w/one out for Hiers.

Hiers gets our 3rd infield hit of the game so far, singling to 3rd base. Runners 1st/2nd for Schroeder, 1 out.

Double steal!!! Both runners advance, runners on 2nd, 3rd for Schroeder.

Okay - something in the online box score is wrong. Schroeder just homered, but they only have Schroeder and Hiers scoring. No indication that Canfield was put out anywhere, but the box now says Hogs up 6-0 with 2 outs for Diaz. I'm guessing Canfield was out on the double steal?

But: HR Schroeder!!! Second Hog dinger of the inning!

Diaz grounds out to P to end the inning. Hogs get 4 runs on 4 hits, no errors, none left on base. Lead 6-0 after two.

Next batter safe at first on fielder's choice, Diaz threw out lead runner at 2nd. 1 out.

Moll K's the next batter swinging and missing a 2-2 pitch. 2 outs, runners on 1st, 2nd.

And Schroeder hits her second dinger of the game!!!! 3-run shot puts the Hogs up 9-0, and the run rule can come into play if we make it through T5 with 8 run lead.

Diaz hits a triple to RF. Belans up.

Belans reaches on an error, Hiers scores. Belans goes to 2nd on throw home (I think). Beringhele on to run for Belans. Warrick up with runner on 2nd, 2 out.

Final out - first pitch grounder to 2b. Hogs win 10-1, via run rule in the 5th.

WPS!!! Great way to start the season - getting a RR win over a team that we should get a RR win over!!

Good news:
The offense showed up! 3 HR's in 4 innings.
More aggressiveness on the base paths, or so it seemed.
Moll gets 9 K's in 5 innings.

Bad news:
Still clearly some control issues for Moll, with a couple WP's and 3 BB in 5 innings.
Two errors in 5 innings, each from a middle infielder. We'll need to clean that up.

Next up: Host North Texas in about an hour. Should be a tougher game, imo.
