How about you foot the bill for Collen's buyout, as well as for the signing bonus and full contract of the next coach coming in here?  That would work well for you because it would ultimately mean that you would own the hire and how well (or not) that it works out.

That is what it will take to see a change.   A big booster will have to step up and I don't think Jeff wants another coaching search this year.

And IMHO, that is exactly why it won't happen.  Women's athletics typically do not bring in copious amounts of money.  They exist because public law states that they have to exist. 

There are very few schools out there which are going to pay top dollar for a women's basketball coach.  Compare Geno Auriemma's contract with what UConn was paying Jim Calhoun during his tenure sometime.  They didn't even compare, and GA won more than twice as many NC's as Calhoun did.
