Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn addressed the media following the end of the current fall baseball practice period. Van Horn touched on a number of subjects including the rehab status of starting pitchers Keaton McKinney, Dominic Taccolini and James Teague.

He also addressed junior closer Zach Jackson's stated desire to have a chance at becoming a starting pitcher in 2016.

Jackson also commented on getting a chance to prove himself as a starting pitcher. He detailed his belief that Arkansas' pitching staff will be deeper with several solid left handers available for the coming season.

Senior second baseman Rick Nomura predicted big things from the bottom of the batting order calling the Hogs projected seven through nine hitters "sneaky" in their ability to drive in runs.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.
