I will be anxious to see how good rg3, kaper, and Russell Wilson are next year running that garbage.  Many on here were bowing at the feet of scam newton after his rookie performance last year, and what do he do?  Give me Andrew luck all day and twice on Sunday if I got the saying right.

I definitely agree with you on Andrew Luck.  Hands down.  I think Russell Wilson is a different situation, don't think you can lump him in there with RGIII.  He doesn't run it nearly as often and when he does it is because he HAS to not because he wants to.  I think the last seahawks game Wilson had maybe 1 designed run play, thats it.  He prefers to throw the ball.

Russel is also smart about how he runs.  Slides early or goes out of bounds, rarely takes a hit.  Don't think you have to worry about his health nearly as much as you do wiht RGIII.

I lost the Green Bay San fan game tonight because I bet on Aaron Rogers vs Dan Fran.  I will make that play till the end of time.  Didn't work out, but I don't believe in kapermania although two more wins from him and I will look like a tard! :)

San Fran's D really buckled down after halftime.  they only allowed a fg and a garbage time TD (that shouldn't have even happened, the PI call on the pick the play before was BS, should have been an INT).  San Fran's D has beat Rogers twice this year, not sure I keep making that bet, esp with Rogers OL.

If you don't mind me asking why the bump? Not playin the game but just want to pick the mind of a veteran

BetBud is a solid bet tracker I found on itunes Friday. It gives me all the organization I desire, including a way to break down / filter my record in numerous ways. It is either $2 or $3, and worth it imo. There are others but I like this one best.

More than anything because of Brady and Belichick.  Those two have done it time and time again.  Also they score the ball more consistently than any team, or at least it seems that way to me. May not see a ton of 75 yard bombs for TD's, but they do seem to rip off chucks of yardage.

Gronk and Woodhead were both healthier than they have been in a long time.  Course they both went down in the first quarter sooooo.

Thanks man, but actually 4-1

Won Ravens, Seattle, Pats, and over on Pats and Texans.

Lost Packers. :)

Like Ravens at +9, think that number will drop to +7.5 or +8 by game time; also like Over 51 in that one.  Like San Fran at -3.5 and also like the Over 48.5 in that as well.

Anyone else here play college basketball?

Hooch

Think I am going to play:

Magic +2.5
Thunder -5.5
Heat -3
Kansas -10.5
Louisville -7

I don't play with a lot of money on bball. Usually $25 to $50 bets.  My two favorites are Magic and Kansas.

I will occasionally play a Cbb game, but it's very rare when I do. Do not keep up with it enough to make informed decisions.  I do play some hockey and baseball.

I won't post much here because I don't bet on baseball or basketball games.  I might do the Final Four and some MMA.  Other than that see you in September gents.  Good luck.

Both overs have already moved up half a point for the NFC/AFC games. I like the Pats/Ravens over regardless.

I think the public will try to convince me to play the Ravens this weekend but my gut still says Patriots roll. They're just shredding it up right now.

Falcons/9ers is hard for me to call.

Agreed on Falcons, very tough to not pick a home dog, still like San Fran though.  Also still like Ravens to cover.

Yeah I follow closely when I can.  I feel like I get a better feel for teams in bball than football,  they seem more predictable to me.

I get myself in trouble wanting more action on the night because I don't risk as much so I do like I did last night and started throwing in NBA games that I don't follow as closely.

I usually try to look at their last 5 games to see how a team is playing, just such a different world than football because a team can literally be totally different from 1 point in the season to another.

Teams get hot, Wisky has won 6 in a row, and just beat #14 Illinois by 25. I figured this would be about a 6 pt line its damn near double.  Granted Indiana has won 6 in a row as well, I just don't think the gap is that wide.  On paper it looks like Indiana is much superior, they are top 12 in all 4 categories, Wisky is not anywhere close, but Wisky is much better now than they were early in the year.

Ole Miss has won 5 in a row and just beat #10 mizzou by 15, not to mention they play Vandy who has lost 4 of their last 5 by an average of 12.5 per game, 3 of those at home btw. Vandy only in the top 280 any of the 4 major categories, FG%, Rebound per Game, Points per game, Assists.  Ole Miss is not outside the top 160 in any of those 3.

Creighton is much superior to Northern Iowa and they are at home UNI is 2-3 in their last 5.  Creighton has won like 11 in a row. UNI has played two good teams on the road and they lost by 25 and 14.  Creighton is 2nd in the nation in FG %, UNI is 118th. Ceighton 10th in PPG, UNI 171st.  UNI isn't within 110 teams from Creighton in PPG, FG%, rebounds per game or assits.

Kentucky is 3-2 in last 5 one of those losses a 3 pt loss @ #1 Louisville.  Kentucky isn't outside the top 40 in the 4 categories I've mentioned, Tenner is 236 in ppg, 96 in rpg, 318 assist per game, and 207 in FG%.  Tenner is 2-3 in last 5.  Only thing that scares me about this game is that Tenner has actually played fairly well on the road.  Still Kentucky is going to be pissed and take it out on those from the south.

I don't have a reason for the St. Johns it really goes against everything I usually look at I just have a feeling about that one.

I know you didn't ask for a dissertation but I am bored at work and thought I would give you an idea of what I look at.  Some years I do good in CBB some not so good, but thats gambling.

If I had to only play 3 it would be Ole Miss, Wisky, Creighton.

Don't apologize, that was great info.  I would like to start getting into it but have trouble knowing what to look for.  All of that was very helpful.  Might actually play a few of those tonight.  Really appreciate the insight!

Put 1 unit on:
Ole Miss -8.5
Creighton -11

Put 1/2 a unit on:
Kentucky -13

Not at all hope you make some $. I don't bet very big on bball either becuase I like to play something everynight, if I am home.  Its a long season with a whole lot of opportunity to bet.

In reality, the oddsmakers who set the initial opening line in Las Vegas each week are trying to come up with the number that will lead as many people to bet on Team Y as bet on Team X.  That's why the lines move throughout the week.  Once the LVSC (Las Vegas Sports Consultants) provide casinos with its opening lines, the numbers start moving based on the action coming in on each side.

You're hot right now in college, very impressive wisconsin call.  I should have played that one instead of Kentucky but you know how that goes haha.  Got quite fortunate on the Ole Miss game and quite unlucky on the Creighton game so it evens out.  My Creighton game ended up being a push b/c of where I got the line, shoulda bought that 1/2 pt!  Still pleased with the outcome!

Thanks again Hooch and being that you are 5-2 so far in college, feel free to keep telling us your picks  ;)

These are tentative leans Ill post what I play before tonight.

I have had good luck on home unranked favorites against ranked opponents.  Boise st. and Maryland fit that bill tonight.

I really like Boise st, I think I will probably go against that in the other game and go with NC St.

I like Miss St at home vs. Bama.

Other games I like are Kansas st, Georgetown, Colorado and Wichita st.
