Great job against a mid-major Stan.  You have proven you can win against the evangelists, the friars, the oaks, etc.  You made your name at Kent beating up on the big boys of the MAC.
Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

what's up with Townes tonight?  is he hurt or something?

Yeah he sprained his ankle against Texas. Hes getting limited minutes because of this. Plus were up a lot so he may not come back in.

WHY WON'T ANYONE GO TO THE MIDDLE AGAINST THIS PRESS!

Irvin is absolutely terrible.  He is timid against the press....and he knows it...

Without Beverly we would absolutely stink.  Without Beverley, Weems, and Thomas, we'd be an NAIA school.

without Beverly It would be bad. really bad

But we have those players.  We recruited them and signed them, and they are here.  You could make the statement you made, about a lot of teams.

He is really disappointing me this year.  Isn't really doing anything and seems to have an attitude problem

Wrong Townes has been good this year. Besides not dunking the ball down the stretch against Texas He has been playing hard, drawing double teams,  and his attitude problem is not how it was. What games have you been watching.

Destroyed them, just like fourthcrusade promised.

How many people were there? 1,000? 2,000?

I'm really thinking this could wind up being a Final Four year.

pimphog

I've been watching all the games smart@#$......he was much more effecient last year and his freshmen year.....

ORU was an NCAA tournament team last year and already knocked off Kansas at Kansas this year. They will more than likely be dancing again this. Ken Tutt and Caleb King are for real. This will end up being a quality win.

TRUHOG718

Overall not our best game this year. we limited our turnovers and ran our offense effectively. I think that Texas game may be the turning point for us. We see how good we can be if we cut, make crisp passes and feed off our bigs. Healthy Townes we win by 20

Yesterday ORU was dogmeat that we were gonna wipe the floor with.

Now that we uglied our way to a 12 point win after being down at the half, all of the sudden a 5-5 ORU team is a quality win.

Gotta love revisionist history.

We need to give Stan and these players a little bit of a break.  This team lost its 3 leading scorers from last year, including an underclassmen.  In 12 games we have looked bad twice.  The team is playing better and should be good by SEC play.  If they aren't by then...then I say release the hounds.  But I don't think we'll have to.

Doubtful, the win against Kansas may end up to be more of a fluke.  They are 5-6 right now.  I could be wrong but a team that jacks up that many 3's when they don't need to doesn't impress me that much.

They have lost to Loyola Marymount (not your daddy's LMU), Akron, Tulsa, and that powerhouse known as UT-Chatanooga.  Their quality loss was to unranked G'town by 15.

Why is he dissapointing you now? He is playing hard and shooting a good percentage. Hes Playing solid D and not turning the ball over. This years team has more of a team makeup. He played hurt today so that was not a good show of this years townes. Im happy with him this year. Hill on the other hand :puke:

Who was saying they were dogmeat?  Maybe some people on this board who have unreal expectations for the team every week and don't understand the game of basketball. Heck, even Jimmy Dykes was talking about ORU being good and more than likely being NCAA tournament bound.

I'd really appreciate it if you wouldn't talk about a few of our low-functioning posters that way.

At least we haven't lost like this at home. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/boxscore?gid=200612220028  I'm still holding out hope for the Tourney, but we will have to have a hell of a conference season to do so.

OK, just had to comment on the old ladies they just showed during the timeout. WTH?! The crowd is calling the Hogs and these two 98 year old lookers are talking about God knows what. I'm guessing Ester and how her son isn't coming for Christmas or something? Stay the F*CK at home if you're going to act dead at Bud Walton!

You didn't lip read them, did you? They were saying "So I cut off that TuckFexas ... internet access and all. Supposedly he has a dialup connection at his new apartment and is trying to get me back".
