Missouri ranked 10th and went on to win 10 games and beat Ohio St.I'll give you this - your optimism is admirable. 2

It started getting dome traction amongst others and then he deleted it. It was a true story. From 2021. 3

Would love to get a commitment from Wags. Would really really like to get an early commitment from Acuff for next year which could open the flood gates for 2025 recruits Roy Acuff? He's like 99 yrs old and ded. And short. Really short 5
Women Razorback sports / Re: Regional TicketsLast post by LadybackBBFan - Today at 06:45:48 amQuote from: JimB on Yesterday at 08:56:06 pmThis so supposed to be ran by the NCAA. They don't care about donors to Arkansas. We always sit in the boxes when we go - guess we will see how we like the berm this time. Sorry, but you don't know what you're talking about. In the past, I have seen big time donors who I personally know show up for the softball tournament with front row seats. These same donors never came to one game during the regular season. I have talked to them about it so I do know what I am talking about. Yes, the NCAA does establish the prices for Tickets, how many seats Arkansas gets, etc. However, Arkansas Is then allowed to Allocate their seats, how they want. 6
Jump Ball / Re: Lets say we only sign 9 or...Last post by popcornhog - Today at 06:38:34 amQuote from: Deep Shoat on Yesterday at 11:16:33 pmUhh, most top teams are only playing 8 meaningful minutes... Those same teams have warm bodies who can step in if there are injuries. Depth would be my concern if not 9 roster spots were filled. Injuries could absolutely end your season. Say 2-3 key guys are out for a stretch. Then 5-6 guys are playing brutal minutes because there's nobody to spell them. Which leads to more injuries. Totally theoretical, yes. But I'd want some sort of low level scholarship worthy talent filling the bottom of the roster. 7
OmaHOGS - Extra Innings,The Road to Omaha / Re: National SeedLast post by Supermark101 - Today at 06:29:37 amQuote from: Atlhogfan1 on Yesterday at 12:59:52 pmBut they don't have near the leeway since they do have to seed 1-64. But they don't actually do that though. They have rules they have to follow and sometimes it take moving teams around to do. You can't have conference teams possibly playing before the sweet 16. You can't have lower seeds playing closer to home than a higher seed. Stuff like that 8
Monday Morning Quarterback / Re: College Football Playoff c...Last post by Jonbo - Today at 05:57:13 amI can concede there was a certain charm in waiting to know if your team would be invited to a bowl and which one. I can't say I miss not having a for-certain overall national champion beyond that decided by a committee none of us here would ever be part of. Having to argue all off-season about who really was the best team last season, people have nostalgia for that? I went into an actual out-house a few times as a little kid. I find it neat I got to experience a tiny bit of the more primitive than today past. I won't say I want it back.

In your scenario Cal would have 7 players and walkons. He may go to 13 but he will be closer than 10. Why? Because things happen. I don't disagree with Calipari about his opinion that 8 or 9 key players are all he should pay so-called "NIL" money. And I agree with his stated reasoning for that opinion. However, I see no reason not to award 13 scholarships to players every season. As you point out, no coach can ever predict injuries or circumstances that may lead to any given player's unavailability during a season. More importantly, if 13 college basketball scholarships are available, I see no reason not to provide 13 players with scholarships. 10
