Don't know him.  I'll probably get to know the coaches a little better once my kids hit Jr High/HS, but until then I just try and enjoy the results on the field.  So far, they've been pretty outstanding, at least for a town like Siloam.

Gosnell Pirates class of 1986.  only see two others here AAAFreak and Jerry Cantrell.  Our football claim to fame was Justin Scott who was like 6'2" 220 DE coming to UA in like 1999 and left weighing 260 or something.  Last I saw, he was playing football for one of those amateur football leagues in Bentonville a few years ago.

I was an Air Force Brat, so I only attended Gosnell for my senior year.  Coming from bigger schools, I was a big fish in a little pond.  We won State Wrestling Championship and were like 6-4 in football.  I was a DE and TE as well as punter.  Made all-conference in 3AAA.  I remember our quarterback was so short that everytime he threw a pass to me, it would be so high out of reach (he couldn't see over the line) that I would get drilled in the side by a linebacker.  Played baseball, too, all-conference.  Remember that I was the only graduate in my class to go to UA.  Everyone else that was college eligible either went to ASU or some community college save for our Valedictorian (Alabama) and Salutatorian (Rhodes).  Also remember that Gosnell (being a "suburb" of Blytheville was the arm-pit of Arkansas and I vowed to get gone from there pretty quick.  Sadly, though, there were no reunions forthcoming.  Would be 20th next year.  When they shut the Air Force base down, things got smaller there.  We had a Sonic in Gosnell.   That was it.  Good times... :-\
