College football has finally figured out Gus Malzahn, Auburn

QuoteEye Test: Auburn is now 0-4 in its past four games away from Jordan-Hare Stadium and 1-9 vs. Top 10 opponents since beating Missouri in the 2013 SEC Championship Game.

Even counting a 56-3 win over No. 17 Arkansas last season, the Tigers have averaged just 19.9 points vs. ranked opponents since 2015.

"Clemson's defensive line is very good," Malzahn said Saturday night. "Everyone knows that."

Here's something else everyone knows: Auburn's offense is a shell of its former self.

Stidham was supposed to be the grease that made the Tigers' wheels turn again. Instead, he disappeared in one of the most important games of the season, swallowed by a Clemson D-line and frustratingly ineffective even when he found slivers of daylight. Malzahn's team is not supposed to compete for another Sugar Bowl berth, it's supposed to compete with Alabama for a College Football Playoff spot.

The past 12 months have provided more than enough evidence that whatever magic Malzahn brought to Auburn is dead and gone.

Ferg's Film Room: Why Auburn's offensive line isn't entirely to blame for Clemson's 11 sacks

Quoteuburn's offensive performance in a 14-6 loss to Clemson last Saturday was historically bad. The Tigers couldn't do much of anything for most of the game, putting up just 15 yards after halftime.

The biggest problem for Auburn's offense came in the form of a record-breaking 11 sacks from Clemson. The Tigers were behind the chains on several drives, and Clemson shut down several of Auburn's biggest plays —
