..amazedd by that...  i expect a good game ..amazed at how/why its lopsided in fans minds..?

One team was expected to be in the BCS, the other was a mid-level competitor in their conference.

I'm a little surprised that there isn't a greater disparity than that.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

RhodeHog

Most people make their picks based on ranking.  It really doesn't surprise me at all, and I actually like it.  Arkansas does best when they're the underdog it seems.  :)

No, and I can type a comprehensible sentence to boot.    The world at large could give a rat's @ss about which team is in the SEC;  one of the teams involved in the game was in the National Title discussion up until the last game of Championship Weekend, and it wasn't Arkansas.

I expected somewhere closer to 80-20 against Arkansas.

I imagine 75-80% of folks would have picked LSU over Arkansas this year, and I hate to admit it, but I'm part of the 75-80%.   I am picking Arkansas tomorrow, however.

Another major reason is that allot of people believe in the odds makers who
have had Mizzu favored by at least 3 points.

Last line I saw had moved it to 4, but that does weigh into things.   Throw in Arkansas looking horrible in most of it's TV exposure this year (Alabama, Kentucky, Auburn games,  with only the LSU game and the South Carolina game offering any reprieve),  and it is no surprise whatsoever that the favorite in this game is widely favored by the viewing audience.

So we have:

Missouri is ranked higher and us and was a National Championship contender before their last regular season game.
We have an interim head coach.
Mizzou is favored by Vegas in the point spread.
Arkansas doesn't have a stellar bowl record the last few years.

I would say 74% is about right.

Think of the proportion of the sporting populace that are bandwagon fans as it is;  they're never going to look beyond the weekend mentions on College Gameday of Missouri, when comparing the two teams.

God guys, give me a break with the Mod talk. Why should you fear a Mod? If you get banned for calling out a mod, then its a ** board and I wouldn't want to be there in the first place. Mod's have a job and it isn't to ban people that make fun of them, if they do, then the board is run by 12 year olds. Other board I frequent, you don't even know who a mod is unless there is a loser that comes in and spams the board or something like that. You treat them like you would any other poster, because really, thats all they are.

Anyway... back on topic.

What's even more amazing about ESPN's polls -- 26% of people like Arkansas' chances against Missouri... but a full 30% think Hawaii will beat Georgia.

I watched Hawaii pull out a nail-biter against San Jose State.  I think they're exciting, but I don't like their chances.

The other forum's I go to aren't paid for by someone. Give me a break dude, there are thousands of people on here. A house and the internet are completely different and if you can't tell that, you are an idiot. You might have one person at your house and they wouldn't be there unless they were friends with you or you invited them.

This is a message board easily found by a quick google search of "razorback forums". I don't think its that easy to enter your house is it? This place isn't ran by one person and just because you call out a mod who was disrespecting you shouldn't result in a banning. THAT IS CHILDISH. They could argue and make their point, or they could be a crybaby and ban and delete all their posts so they don't look bad. This isn't a popularity contest, this is about fans of a football coming together and expressing their opinion.

I wouldn't go into someones house and disrespect their opinion to their face, especially if they welcomed me into their home. That's a different story from a message board on a internet, and obviously you don't know that.

The other boards I go to, you could start a thread with "(insert admins name here) sucks d.i.c.k" and the admin wouldn't ban you. More than likely it was a joke and the people can take it. Everyone here is so up tight and is quick to silence someone they don't agree with.

I agree, I might not have been here when people were being banned for ignorant reasons(darksiders vs. huggers? maybe i dont know), but I feel everyone should be able to express their opinion, especially on a message board, especially on the internet, which can be accessed by anyone world wide.

Open up, don't be so quick to judge, and for god's sake, let go of your EGO(yeah, your no better than Nutt, the person you and I hate). If I get banned, that's fine with me, like I said earlier, if you get banned for your opinion, it ain't worth being there in the first place. Especially when your there for the same reason as everyone else, the mother [CENSORED] Razorbacks!

All Internet forums are paid for by someone. Bandwidth is not free. Hogville depends on advertising in order to pay its hosting bills. The administrators of this site have to pay that bill, otherwise Hogville goes kaput. This seems to be a new concept to some people, and as an administrator of my own website, I chide people who don't understand.

You don't have to respect the moderators or administrators here. But you do have to adhere by the rules they've made, otherwise you don't post here. Because of this, it is not a free speech society. If you say something or act out of accordance with the rules here, they will remove your posting privileges.

I don't mean to backseat moderate here, this is just a topic that really gets on my nerves.

I go to a forum with no advertisers, paid for by the owner of the board. When you don't treat your members like trash, they might donate. The Admin's have to pay the bills, but the mods dont. I'm not new to the internet buddy, I've probably been on it way before you and was making websites in HTML on angelfire when you were still writing letters through snail mail. Have you never been to http://maddox.xmission.com/ ? That guy has way more hits than this website in a year than this website will get in its lifetime, and he has never had a banner or advertisement on his website. I don't even think you CAN donate to him.

I'm not agreeing with breaking the rules, obviously no one understands that. I just don't think you should be banned for disagreeing with a mod, when it wouldn't happen if you disagreed with a regular member of this forum.

Luke STYwalker

When was it you were treated like trash?
