Anyone else see this article today on ESPN.com?  He's got Beverly listed as the #96 draft prospect overall (as a point guard), which I thought was a bit surprising considering how well he played over the summer.  He also thinks Beverly is a second round to undrafted prospect at this point.  The only other Hog mentioned is Townes, but Ford doesn't think he'll be drafted.  I was surprised that Hill wasn't on the list anywhere.  I know his offense needs work, but he's remarkably coordinated for a 7 footer...seems to me that some NBA team might be willing to give him a shot considering how good of a defender he is.  What do you guys think?

Oh, here's the link: http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/school?draftyear=2008

It's an "Insider" feature, so it may be hard to access.  If you have anything/one you want to look up on the list and can't access it, let me know and I'll check it out for you and report back.

Townes is the only other Razorback in the Top 150  (148);   I was a little surprised that Hill didn't even rate a mention in the 150.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Wasn't there some talk last year about pro scouts being impressed with Hill?  Maybe I'm crazy, but until Beverly blew up this summer I figured Hill was the best pro prospect on the team.  I mean, if Mark Madsen can play multiple years and make millions of dollars in the NBA, why can't Hill?

I don't think Beverley has the size to play 2-guard in the NBA.  They want you to be at least 6-4 if not taller.  I think this year will actually help his stock because he has to improve his ball-handling to run and gun.  However, we don't really have any 'do-it-all' players on this squad.  Hill's shot-blocking is great, but unless his rebounding improves, I dunno how much he'll do professionally.

bev needs to start playing more point guard for his draft stock to go up

Razorod

there are reasons why his best option for a long time was Toledo. Hopefully, PBev will have a nice four year career at Arkansas and go down as one of the all time greats!
Hoping the Hogs basketball fortunes change for the better this season.

I'm not.  He just hasn't done much except for block shots in 3 1/2 years.  He doesn't finish particularly well.  If you can't do that as a 7 footer you're going to have a tough time getting selected.

beverley will struggle to get a look by the pros even though he played well against the best this summer. he is 6-1, and his natural position is SG. SG's in the NBA are 6-6 on average.

barring an olu famutimit-esque decision, we will have bev & (washington) for at least 1 more year.
