can't afford another day like today to reach final eight for match play.. Taylor doesn't play 2 rounds in a row like today.. our freshman from Texas is looking like the real deal.. and sr Kolton Crawford has played his best golf, can't ask for more than that on the big stage...

Yeah rough day, but still in solid shape.  Just get to match play and it is anybodys game for the championship.  Surprised Echavarria isn't playing better. He usually does pretty well in the big tournaments.

The margin of the comfort level diminished immensely today, we'll have to shoot well to advance.

It's basically 10 teams fighting for 8 spots at this point.  We are the lowest ranked of the 10 and have two top 5 teams in IL and Ok State gunning for us, but we've got 4 shots on them both.

any TV coverage from this point on?

Not off to a hot front 9! In 9th, and 2 back of Cal for 8th starting the back 9.

First reaction is to be disappointed, because of the hot start, being in the #1 spot after Day 1.

But reasonable take is that this is a four-day event. Play four rounds, add up all the scores, and see who is where. After four days, the better teams(Ill, Tx, etc) have risen to the top. The Hogs weren't one of the Top 15 teams in the country, so actually they have surpassed their ranking. Hard to say it right now, but they finished the season well. Finished 3rd in the tough SEC, and 12th in the NCAAs.

It's like getting too excited for leading after the first quarter of a football game...it's a four quarter game.

Agreed. Didn't think we had the team/star power this year to compete.

Yeah, probably would have had Connelly made it to campus. I don't know how their incoming recruiting class is ranked. They have a good commit for 2018 in Jonesboro's Wil Gipson, he won the Overall as a sophomore last year. He chose Arkansas over Bama and Florida.
