If the Hogs hire Chad Morris I will?

Welcome him!
Show up and protest!
Shrug and move on with my life.

HeyHogs

If Chad Morris is the hire I will just give up on Arkansas ever being serious about football.

Very underwhelming, but would be expected for our program.

Move on.  I'll still watch games, but my expectations will be low.  Just hope we can go 6-6, and on a good year go 7-5.

How good are your season tickets?  I'm looking to upgrade!!  Woo Pig

NuttinItUp

It will be like Mississippi State hiring Joe Moorhead.

A collective, "meh"..

hawginbigd1

Be pissed, but I will give him every opportunity

Deep Shoat

Welcome him, support him for 5 years as long as he appears to be doing the right things, and expect to be back here as soon as the 5 years is over.

Just like I do for every coach we hire.

31 of 48 have a negative reaction to Morris at this point. I hate the idea of hiring Morris.

pigmania

I choose to vote for (D), that we move to the AAC where we actually belong.

PLAYBOAR

I will always give someone a chance but I can't help but question the judgment of whoever made the decision to hire him over Kiffin or Norvell.
Hey Ref, does your wife know you're screwing us?

Jphog

Wait for him to be fired and go through another coaching search.

Hawginj

Its not Morris. But I would be fine with it

cosmodrum

I would support him but be underwhelmed.
Go away, batin'

Well if they wanted Morris they could have hired him a week ago.  And, no UA planes flew toward Dallas today.....

Moorhead is a helluva hire.  Chad would not be a good hire

Torqued pork

I will expect Texas recruiting to explode b/c that would be the only justification for hiring him.

Expect a fun offense.
we could get that with the guy who scored 45 on him by halftime, put in subs in 2nd half & still scored 66--Norvell

And watch all the other SEC teams score 70.

Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

If any of you who are anti-Morris would do research, you'd see a guy who is successfully completing a rebuild at SMU. Just three years ago SMU was 1-11 and in those three short years, Morris has them sitting at 7-5 and bowl bound. Take a step back and look at the state of this program right now. It's never fun to admit, but we are in a rebuilding situation. Morris has strong ties in Texas and was a highly successful recruiter and OC at Clemson where he sat in meeting rooms and learned from the best of the best on both sides of the football. I believe Morris would be a fantastic hire.

One of the problems with coaching searches today is trying to please the fans with splashy hires.  Our fans got us mid-level Houston Nutt, when JFB would have hired Tuberville.

How many times have we witnessed a big name coach switching schools and then getting fired from that school?  We see it happen yearly in the SEC and Bielema's a perfect example of that.  In contrast, no one expected Saban to become a coaching legend when he took the LSU job.  I bet there were some LSU fans complaining incessantly.

My point is that unless you know for a fact that a certain coach is a bad choice, then give him a chance.  If Morris gets our job, I wouldn't be shocked if he won the SEC at Arkansas, because future coaching success is just so unpredictable.  If there were good reasons why I thought he'd fail, then I wouldn't say that, but no one has given any, so far.  Blaming Morris for the struggles at SMU is just unfair, because even Nick Saban wouldn't have turned around SMU by now.

Erockster20

Would be the equivalent of hiring John Pelphrey.

online-with-swine

I would be fine with it.  But, we would need to break the bank for assistant coaches, esp., DC.

Hogsmo Kramer

Shrug and cease devoting anymore serious time to Razorback football.

Give the guy that wants the job an opportunity to show what he can do.

Smithian

If we hire a highly successful Power 5 coordinator who in three years took a 1-11 team to 7-5, I will be pleased.

More I learn about Morris, the more I like him.

SMU won 1 game the year before June Jones arrived and in his second year June won 8.  Morris is accomplishing what had already been done once before, and it took him a year longer to do it.  If his coaching and recruiting were all that shouldn't he be winning more in year 3?  He's not achieving the remarkable but just following the same trend as his predecessor just more slowly.

Have no problem with Chad Morris. Not sure he will be successful, but he is a decent coach. I like him better than some of the options.

Not in the same league as Gus -- or Petrino. A step up from Bielema.

Throw up in my mouth a little, spend a few minutes considering just giving up and being a 'Bama fan, then, do what I have always done, SMFH and sigh and hope for something I know will never happen with another dud hire...

Then I guess Bret successful created a rebuild until this year

axharbor

HC before Morris had a better record than he did (Jones). Did go 1-11 the year immediately before Morris arrived but all but two of those games were coached by an interim coach. He's not quite as great rebuilding as people seem to think. IMHO

HoopS

Enjoy seeing him change the opinion of many. He's really good. I know his record. And I know more than that about him.

I suspect he isn't popular enough this year. He will be after next season.

This. We have morons at the top if he gets hired.

I agree with this. Not a flashy hire but has a very good history.

And I am fine with losing the press conference if he turns out to be a superior hire.

If he wins at a relatively high level, Arkansas fans will be on board.

Continue ignoring the program like I did the second half of the season.

that will be the first reaction followed by a "oh, he's pretty good" then a "I like this coach" then finally a "I knew it all along. It was so obvious. Great offensive mind. Texas ties. Great with the players and other coaches. Perfect fit for us. No brainer. Hope we can keep him".
