Looking for some info on must see/visit areas in this part of Spain.  Will be spending 4 or 5 days here, most likely with a rental car.  Looking for less touristy areas, things to do.  This will be a side trip to our main objective in Spain, so mostly looking for relaxing, peace and quiet type places.

Barcelona's beaches/boardwalk area is nice and has cuisine from all over the world to try. Just walk from beach to beach until you find one that's not too crowded.

Watch out for the one with sand dunes between it and the road... I found myself overdressed on that one.

Most of Barcelona is super touristy though. Hard to escape in a city like that.

Where else are you going/doing in Spain?

The main reason for the trip is an Ibex hunt.  Maybe a chamois as well.

Ahhh so you'll be in the mountains then.  Is the hunt in the Catalunya region?

kodiakisland:

The Ibex would be southwest of Barcelona, near Rossell I think, but the chamois would be in the Pyrenees.  The Costa Brava area is where we would plan to chill for several days.

I'm trying to remember the name of the Mediterranean Restaurant I went to on the beach in Barcelona.  Fantastic seafood and paella. I'll try and find it.

If you miss American food too much theres a 3 story KFC in Barcelona lol
