Come visit Natchitoches LA.  It is a great place for a two or three day get away.  The city has many bed and breakfasts and a lovely downtown area to sightsee and shop.  The plantation homes in the area are a great way to see the old south like you've never seen it before.

Pretty cool place especially in Nov/Dec when all the Christmas lights are lit up on the river.
