I went through the trouble of attaching Pomeroy's projected bracket for you.  Like I said, ignorance is bliss!

Your link shows how he projects the bracket to be on ON selection Sunday. His rankings are how he ranks each team today. I'm simply stating that a team ranked 43rd at the end of the season is a bubble team, and you are trying to state otherwise.

Let me try this again.

The fields of 68 teams that participate in the men's tournament, and 64 for the women's tournament, are filled as follows:

32 automatic berths:
31 conference tournament champions + Ivy League regular-season champion

At-large berths:
36 in the men's tournament
32 in the women's tournament

At most, 11 automatic qualifiers will come out of the top 50 men's teams. Best case, 47 of the top 50 can get in. If any automatic qualifiers for the top 11 conferences are lower-rated teams, then the 47 gets smaller.

Cincinnati, LSU and Stanford all lost to teams near the bottom of their respective leagues and dropped two lines in the bracket. Such is life in the middle of the bracket, where little separates each team.

Hogs are a 6 seed.  Six in from the SEC with 3 projected as ten seeds.

Nice to see Clemson in the first four out, a massive improvement from the 100+ RPI that was expected a month ago.  Tennessee is at -6 and can still creep in as well.  6 teams is looking more realistic, but my money would still be on 5 at this point.  The nice thing for us is that a lot of the 7-10 seeds have been losing, better securing us a dodge from the 8-9 spot.

I'd very much like that.  Heck, wouldn't even too much mind the 8/9 seed if this was our bracket.  Gonzaga is good...but they tend to be overrated.  They will likely enter the NCAAT with one win over a ranked team.  Not saying I'm sure we'd beat them, just saying they are a top team that I think we could play with better than, say, a Duke or Virginia.

Agreed. Wofford in the first round, possibly Butler in the second round, and a possible match up with Gonzaga in the Sweet 16. That's definitely a taker!

Gonzaga is a very good team.  The problem is that they don't have any real battles over the last two months of the regular season which ends up costing them at the end. I don't think they are a team we can beat.  Their guard play is too good.

He's changed it then because yesterday he had Ohio State as the 4 seed in the Midwest and UNC as the 8 seed in the West region. It could have been a typo on his part but that is the way he had it.

The Hogs should have been in last year.  The fact that the SEC comprised 1/2 of the final four should not be lost on the selection committee.  Give us 5 or 6 and let us prove we belong.
