Cons- shows future coach we may have a quick hook?
         More time to shake the class up
         Zero chance at a bowl game
         Anyone we'd want wouldn't bolt anyway/wouldn't gain anything.

Pros- more time for new coach to recruit
         Draw a line in the sand and clear direction.
         Fan moral

Wouldn't call 5 years a quick hook.

How would the new coach have more time to recruit?

If Bret is fired tonight or November 25th we aren't getting a new coach until the first week of December at the earliest.


If we get destroyed next week, which is possible,  perhaps do it and let him coach the Mizziou game. I still think that is even highly unlikely.

Maybe not fired, but announce he will not be returning next year.
