It's probably not considered good taste to be critical of the more senior members of the board, in this case a Varsity member with 3X's the number of posts that I have.  But, GUV, JFB and JL had a LOT to do with GM's hiring.

I think a reasonable goal for this year's offense is to play like the 1999 Alabama offense.  They were able to win the SEC running the spread with an outstanding tailback in Shaun "Hookslide" Alexander and an average to below average quarterback in Andrew Zow.

Great question.  He stated that he did not know Gus was "really" interested in the position.  Peple close to the program said its because Markeson did not like his offense and did not want to use it.

I guess people can do a 180 change and embrace Gus after seeing 3 years go by with less than impressive results.
