Mike, I normally don't complement people for doing their job but your commentary today about Coach Broyles on the Pig Trail Nation Special Report was outstanding. Thanks for a job well done.
Not trying to brag or make anyone jealous but I can still fit into the same pair of socks I wore in high school.

Thank you. We'd been preparing for this for quite a while. I was hoping not to have to use any of it. I still can't believe he's gone. He was born three days before my dad but I always told people he'd probably outlive me. It's going to be hard not having him around at games.

The link doesn't work for me... every other story on the nwahomepage works except this one.  Would love to read but can't.

Great job Mike.  Great tribute to a man that got Razorback Football on the map.  I wish we could have a few more decades like the 60s again.

Thank You Mike.  A Gentleman that Loved the passion of Hog fans.  I remember meeting him when I was a student in late '70's.  He was warm and gracious.

My son was at Baum Stadium recently for the regional.  He has a friend that works for Jim Lindsey and was in their Suite.  He told me Coach Broyles was warm and friendly and pulling for the Hogs!

Wonderful piece, Mike. I'm getting a little choked up by some of these tributes.

Great tribute Mike and the interview you did with him was superb!
If I'm going to cheer players and coaches in victory, I damn sure ought to be man enough to stand with them in defeat.

Very good story, about the man that really built the Razorbacks.  I remember seeing him by chance, at Hot Springs in the mid 70's.  He had just stopped his car on the side of the road, & was walking to the passenger side to let someone else drive.  I immediately recognized him as I drove by. He loved our state, the university & made it his home. We'll never see another quite like him.
Arkansas born, Arkansas bred, when I die I'll be a Razorback dead.

Great work as always Mike. Only fitting for our senior reporter to be doing the story on Coach.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.
