Who will win the super bowl? Who do you want to win?

I think that Seahawks has  have more consistant team the whole year. Good defense, good offense, and not to mention the MVP

Steelers.. They are hot and have alot of momentum.

My Pick...Seahawks
Who I'm going for.. Seahawks

holman24

Steelers all the way.  The steel curtain is back and the offense is on a row, there is no way that a NFC can even play with the AFC here recently.

maniax22bolts20

Although I like both teams it is time the NFC takes the Lombardi Trophy. Are any of you fans planning large gatherings ?

holman24

We'll have about 20 in a small house so it will feel like a big party.

Don't sweat it.  Joey is on a mission.  They all are.   We're gonna win!

maniax22bolts20

Mike Ditka predicted  a Steelers win just now on Fox 16. He said he is not rooting for anybody lol.

Broken Trigger

Wow, that's a change.  I have noticed that usually anyone from the AFC picks the AFC team, and anyone from the NFC picks the NFC team.  Maybe Mike picked them after seeing the whipping the Steelers put on Da Bears.

maniax22bolts20

It seems he believes the Steelers blitz will be able to get to Hasselback with relative ease based on their playoff games.

pigsooie1000

Pittsburgh 27
Seattle 14

I think Shaun Alexander is one of the more overrated NFL players in recent memory.  I don't think the MVP award was deserved adn I think Seattle will be exposed as a team that built their gaudy record by beating up on Arizona, San Fran, and St. Louis.

I agree. Hasselback doesnt handle blitz very well. Remember the Jags game in week 1?

Zen_Hog

27-19 Seahawks.

I have to disagree. But we'll see....

Cajun Hog

I pulling for the Seahawks, because of Jeb and Kenny.  I know either will play, but they are Razorbacks.  ;D

Rooting for: Steelers
Who I think will win: who the hell knows.

Both teams can't sustain a drive very long, but Seattle is winning the field-position battle. The Steelers look far more conservative in their strategy than what they've done in the playoffs and it's not working.

I predicted an 11-8 (from a dream) score in a random thought thread in the Tavern. Irregardless of you you're rooting for, this is one of the most boring SB's in recent memory.

Boared

True. I'm already bored enough to be switching back and forth between the game and The Simpsons. I really feel bad for those who aren't fans of either team.

Boared

Even though I'm a Steelers fan, that wasn't a TD.

hogfancb

That was not a TD.  Seahawks getting screwed so far.

hogfancb

Everyone wants the steelers to win.  D. Jackson didn't push off either.  Maybe I'm just bias.

TorsinAHog

Seahawks are getting screwed.  That was a minimal push off at best and NOT a steeler TD.
To borrow from Mark Twain, there are three kinds of lies:
lies, darned lies, and the UA Athletic Department.

Biased? Just a little bit. Not everyone "wants" the Steelers to win. There are a lot of people on this very message board that are rooting against the Steelers because they're Cowboy fans or fans of other NFC teams. Listening to the ESPN pre-game, they were discussing how the momentum had been shifting towards the Seahawks this week.

Foots

The Seahawks ARE getting screwed. The officials have Terrible Towels in their pockets.

Boared

I will agree that the Seahawks got screwed on that TD (as I mentioned earlier), but I don't think there's an agenda to help the Steelers win.

Sonofahog

Bogus push off penatly,  not across the line on a bogus TD,  and all the commercials showing players with the Lomardi trophy have been Steelers.  I say BIAS.  ( will change mind if I see a Seahawk hugging the trophy)

Foots

I noticed that about the trophy too.

Bomis Hawg

I bet a lot of people lost money on their prop bets on the first touchdown of the game.   Would would've guessed a Roethlis-vick run for a TD. ;D

I'm sure a lot put theirs on Shaun Alexander or Heath Miller.

TD Steelers!

That's my Willy!

Bomis Hawg

Parker was gone.

Wasn't he a back-up at UNC?  7 for 86.

Boared

Parker gained more yards this year than he did his entire career @ UNC as he and their coach didn't get along. In fact, he wasn't even given a chance to play on Senior Day. He rode the pine a lot.

Zen_Hog

Momentum has shifted! Ken Hamlin was shown!

Bogus push off penatly,

I'm not a Steelers fan, but I think it was pass interference.  Maybe it will turn out to be a non-issue.

Buff

Steelers look like they're keeping up their playoff trend of slowing down of D late in the game

clemensrules01

the seahawks have clearly outplayed the steelers. maybe the ball wont bounce as kindly for pitt in the 4th quarter.

Buff

steelers finally got a hard sack tonight.  not sure where that last holding call was.  alexander's a quick dude.

Buff

and Hasselbeck finally made a big mistake

Sonofahog

What the heck did they call on Hasselbeck?

Sonofahog

Okay,  bias showing up again.  Pittsburgh was offsides at least twice on that last Seattle drive,  no call.  Then the b.s. call on Hasselbeck.  BIAS
